Slugs game-winning homer in return
Chourio went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Blue Jays.
Analysis
Activated from the IL earlier in the day, the 21-year-old had a home run stolen from him in the first inning when Myles Straw scaled the center-field fence to catch it, but no one was bringing back Chourio's ninth-inning shot the other way off Toronto closer Jeff Hoffman to break open a 1-1 tie. Chourio had been sidelined since July 29 due to a hamstring strain, but he looked fully healthy Saturday as he returns to help lead the Brewers' playoff push. Through 107 games this season, he's slashing .278/.313/.481 with 18 homers, 18 steals, 68 RBI and 72 runs.

Returns from IL
The Brewers reinstated Chourio (hamstring) from the injured list Saturday.
Analysis
Chourio landed on the injured list toward the end of July due to a strained right hamstring, and after five rehab games at Triple-A Nashville, he's now been given the green light to reclaim an everyday role in Milwaukee's outfield. Although the 21-year-old went just 1-for-19 with two walks and eight strikeouts during his time in the minors, he had been slashing .386/.438/.591 in the second half prior to his injury. To make room for Chourio's return, Brandon Lockridge was optioned to Nashville.

Set for Saturday activation
Chourio (hamstring) will be activated from the 10-day injured list ahead of Saturday's game against the Blue Jays, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Analysis
Chourio is already with the team in Toronto, but the Brewers will give him a full day to acclimate following a long day of travel. The center fielder has been sidelined since late July with a strained right hamstring. The Brewers gave him an extended minor-league rehab assignment until he looked fully confident running. However, he went 1-for-19 with eight strikeouts over five rehab games.

With team in TOR, not active yet
Chourio (hamstring) is with the Brewers for their series in Toronto but has not yet been activated from the 10-day injured list, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Analysis
Chourio told reporters that his right hamstring felt "perfect," and he could be activated at any time. He is not, however, in Friday's lineup for the series opener. Chourio -- who went just 1-for-19 with an 8:2 K:BB in five rehab games with Triple-A Nashville -- has been sidelined since late July with a strained right hamstring.

Struggles on rehab assignment
Chourio (hamstring) has gone just 1-for-19 with an 8:2 K:BB in five rehab games with Triple-A Nashville.
Analysis
The results at the plate for Chourio on his rehab assignment have not been there, but the good news is he played through the top of the 10th inning of Nashville's extra-inning loss to Charlotte on Wednesday. That could be the final step he needed to take before being reinstated from the 10-day injured list, as he was off Thursday and is expected to rejoin the Brewers for their weekend series in Toronto. Chourio has been shelved since late July with a strained right hamstring.

Could return this weekend
Chourio (hamstring) will play seven innings in the outfield during his rehab game with Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday and could rejoin the Brewers as soon as this weekend's three-game series in Toronto, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Analysis
The 21-year-old was a bit tentative while running the bases during his rehab game Sunday, so Milwaukee has elected to continue the minor-league assignment for at least a few more days. If Chourio can further ramp up and play in a full game with no issues, he should have a chance to come off the injured list to face the Blue Jays.

Not ready to return quite yet
Brewers manager Pat Murphy said Monday that Chourio (hamstring) will remain on his rehab assignment with Triple-A Nashville for a few more days before being activated from the 10-day injured list, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Analysis
Murphy noted that Chourio looked tentative while running the bases on a double during a rehab game Sunday, so the club will keep the outfielder at Nashville for a little while longer until he's able to run at full effort without worrying about his right hamstring. Chourio could be ready to go for the opening game of the Brewers' road trip Friday in Toronto, but that will depend on how he looks and feels in his rehab games between now and then.
