Sitting after three straight starts
Duran is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Angels.
Analysis
Duran will head to the bench for the series opener, but he had started in each of the last three contests and should be in store for an uptick in playing time after Marcus Semien (foot) was deactivated Saturday with a likely season-ending injury. Josh Smith will cover second base Monday, but if the Rangers prefer to use the versatile Smith in the outfield while Evan Carter (wrist) is on the shelf, Duran could have a fairly clear path to making regular starts at the keystone.

Picking up third straight start
Duran will start at second base and bat ninth in Sunday's game against the Guardians.
Analysis
Duran will stay in the lineup for the third game in a row after after going 2-for-8 with two doubles and three RBI in the first two. With Marcus Semien (foot) landing on the injured list Saturday, Duran could emerge as the Rangers' primary option at the keystone.

Drives in three runs
Duran went 1-for-5 with a two-run double and an additional RBI during the Rangers' 10-0 win over the Guardians on Saturday.
Analysis
Duran played a big factor in Saturday's blowout win, bringing home two on a double in the fourth inning before capping the Rangers' scoring with an RBI groundout in the sixth. Duran has logged at least one hit in each of his last four games, and since Aug. 1 he has gone 16-for-41 (.390) with two steals, four doubles and six RBI.
