Smashes another homer
Suarez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Monday's 6-3 loss to the Astros.
Analysis
New opponent, same result -- Suarez is still dialed in at the plate. Over four games since the All-Star break, the third baseman has slugged five homers while going 6-for-14 with three walks and eight RBI. He's up to 36 long balls on the year, good for the National League lead and just two behind Cal Raleigh for most in the majors. Suarez's power surge has his slugging percentage up to .605 and his OPS at .933, and he's added 86 RBI, 64 runs scored, 18 doubles and a stolen base over 99 contests this season.

Caps series with two more homers
Saurez went 2-for-4 with two home runs and four RBI in Sunday's 5-3 win versus St. Louis.
Analysis
The Arizona third baseman extended his team's lead to 4-0 with a 425-foot, three-run blast off Cardinals starter Miles Mikolas in the first inning. Suarez then returned in the third to slug a solo shot off Mikolas to reach the 35-homer mark for the second time in his career (the first time coming in 2019 with Cincinnati, when he totaled 49). This performance wrapped up a fantastic three-game weekend for the 34-year-old, as he went 5-for-10 with four long balls, seven RBI and five runs scored. Through 403 total plate appearances across 98 games, Suarez is slashing .257/.328/.601 with 85 RBI and 63 runs scored.

Blasts two homers
Suarez went 2-for-3 with two homers, three RBI and a walk in Saturday's 10-1 win over the Cardinals.
Analysis
Suarez's power surge continued Saturday with two more home runs, bringing his season total to 33. The veteran third baseman now sports a .911 OPS and 81 RBI through 97 games. He's one of the most talked-about trade candidates ahead of the deadline and could bring back a significant return if the Diamondbacks decide to move him.

In Friday's lineup
Suarez (hand) will start at third base and bat fifth Friday against the Cardinals.
Analysis
Suarez avoided a serious injury after taking a pitch off his left hand during the All-Star Game, and a few days of rest will allow him to remain in Arizona's lineup to begin the second half. The 34-year-old infielder slashed .250/.320/.569 with 31 homers and 78 RBI before the break and is a likely candidate to be brought up in trade discussions over the next couple of weeks.

Likely to play Friday
Suarez (hand) is expected to be in Friday's lineup against the Cardinals, Alex Weiner of AZ Sports reports.
Analysis
Suarez was hit in the hand by a pitch during the All-Star Game but avoided serious injury. Manager Torey Lovullo spoke with relative certainty that Suarez would be in the lineup Friday, but it will still be worth confirming before first pitch at 9:40 p.m. ET.
