Needs at least one more rehab outing
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Friday that Diaz (neck) needs at least one more rehab appearance before returning from the 15-day injured list, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.
Analysis
Diaz started his rehab assignment with Triple-A Oklahoma this past Sunday and has appeared in three games, allowing one run on one hit and four walks while striking out three across 2.2 innings. He needs some more work in the minors before being activated off the IL, and he's expected to operate in a low-leverage role upon his return to the big-league bullpen.

Starting rehab stint Sunday
Diaz (neck) will begin a minor-league rehab assignment with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sunday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
Analysis
Diaz last pitched for the Dodgers on Aug. 17, when he gave up three runs on four hits over one inning at Colorado. He landed on the injured list the next day with a diagnosis of neck inflammation. Diaz may not need an extended rehab stint, but even if he's fully recovered, he's expected to log lower-leverage work upon his return to the big-league club.
