Picks up steal in win

Carroll went 1-for-4 with a double and a stolen base in Tuesday's 6-0 win over the Rangers.

Analysis

Carroll has cooled off since his 14-game hitting streak from Aug. 20 to Sept. 4. He's gone 2-for-20 over his last five contests. The outfielder has five steals over nine games in September and is up to 27 thefts on 33 attempts this year. He's slashing .229/.315/.420 with 19 home runs, 66 RBI, 106 runs scored, 20 doubles and 12 triples despite his struggles at the plate relative to last year.

Another two steals in win

Carroll went 1-for-4 with an RBI, a run scored and two stolen bases in Wednesday's win over San Francisco.

Analysis

Carroll drew a leadoff walk to open the contest before eventually coming home on a Josh Bell single. The outfielder would then go on to reach again in two of his next four trips to the plate, adding two steals and an RBI single over that span as the Diamondbacks took their second straight win on the road. Carroll has now swiped two bags in back-to-back games, while he also extended his hitting streak to 14 games with Wednesday's single. Over that latter stretch he's batting .350 (20-for-57) with six homers, 16 RBI, 16 runs and five stolen bases.
