Activated from 10-day IL
The Twins activated Buxton (hip) from the 10-day injured list Thursday.
Analysis
Buxton's progress from a right hip impingement was slow going initially, but he got through a full workout this week with no issues to clear the way for his return to action. It's possible the Twins will give him some extra time at designated hitter in order to protect his hip, but fantasy managers will receive a nice boost from being able to re-insert Buxton into their lineup.

Might be activated Thursday
Twins manager Derek Shelton said Wednesday that "[Thursday] is a possibility" for Buxton's (hip) activation from the 10-day injured list, Jack Azoulay-Haron of ELEmergente.com reports.
Analysis
Buxton has been sidelined since late July with a right hip impingement, but he went through a full workout at Target Field on Tuesday and his activation is imminent. As long as he doesn't report any lingering soreness following Tuesday's workout, it sounds as though Buxton will be back in the lineup for Thursday's "Field of Dreams" game against the Phillies.

Goes through full workout
Buxton (hip) went through a full workout at Target Field on Monday, MLB.com reports.
Analysis
Working his way back from a right hip impingement, Buxton ran the bases and took batting practice on the field as part of a "very encouraging" workout, per Twins manager Derek Shelton. The club will wait to see how Buxton recovers from the workout before determining next steps, but Shelton noted that the outfielder won't need a rehab assignment before being activated from the 10-day injured list. Buxton's return appears to be imminent, but the Twins could offer more clarity on the center fielder's status later Tuesday.
