Lands on injured list
The Rays placed Lowe on the 10-day injured list Tuesday due to left ankle/foot tendinitis, Ryan Bass of FanDuel Sports Network Sun reports.
Analysis
Lowe was removed from Saturday's win over the Orioles after experiencing a flareup of plantar fasciitis in his left foot, though the injury is now being described as foot and ankle tendinitis. The second baseman was sent in for an MRI, though the severity of the injury isn't yet known. Lowe will be eligible to be reinstated next week, but it's unclear how long he's expected to be sidelined.

Remains out Monday
Lowe (foot) remains out of the lineup for Monday's game against the White Sox.
Analysis
Lowe was removed from Saturday's 4-3 win over the Orioles due to a flareup of plantar fasciitis in his left foot, and he will now miss a second straight start. According to Ryan Bass of FanDuel Sports Network Sun, the Rays sent Lowe in for an MRI following the flareup, but he's considered day-to-day and noted Monday that he woke up feeling better than he had a day ago. With Lowe out of the lineup for the series opener against Chicago, Taylor Walls will cover second base and bat ninth for the Rays.

Dealing with foot issue
Lowe was lifted from Saturday's game against Baltimore due to a flare-up of plantar fasciitis in his left foot, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Analysis
Lowe grounded out to third base to end the bottom of the sixth inning Saturday, and Jose Caballero replaced him on defense to begin the top of the following frame. Lowe was just activated from the IL on Friday following an oblique injury, but his departure Saturday doesn't appear to be related to that issue. Topkin notes that Lowe was already scheduled to get a day off Sunday, though the slugger could be available off the bench.

Back from injured list
The Rays reinstated Lowe (oblique) from the 10-day injured list Friday.
Analysis
The second baseman landed on the shelf just before the All-Star break due to oblique soreness and is ready to rejoin the Rays for the start of the second half. In 31 games since the start of June, Lowe had been one of the hotter hitters in baseball with eight homers and a .319/.366/.575 slash line.

Will be re-evaluated Thursday
Rays president of baseball operations Erik Neander said that Lowe (oblique) will be re-evaluated after a workout Thursday to determine whether he will be activated from the 10-day injured list before Friday's game versus the Orioles, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Analysis
Lowe hasn't played since July 6 after tweaking his left oblique, finally landing on the IL on July 11. The Rays labeled the injury as tightness rather than a strain, seemingly giving him a better chance at a brief absence. If Lowe gets through Thursday's workout without any hiccups, he should skip a rehab assignment and rejoin the Rays' lineup Friday.
