Markkanen helped Utah close things out with 10 fourth-quarter points, and his performance Thursday marked the ninth time this season that the veteran forward has scored 30-plus points in a game. He is off to a terrific start to the 2025-26 regular season, averaging a career-high 28.1 points along with 6.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 3.0 threes and 0.9 steals over 35.5 minutes per game. Markkanen will look to carry his momentum into the second leg of the Jazz's back-to-back set Friday against the Knicks.

Markkanen notched 29 points (9-17 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 9-11 FT), eight rebounds and one steal in 37 minutes during Monday's 133-125 victory over the Rockets.
Analisi
Markkanen paced the Jazz on the offensive end by pouring in 29 points, his best effort since Nov. 18. He also posted a solid night on the boards, but as has been the trend lately, he didn't make much of an impact defensively. Markkanen has been held without a block or steal in four straight appearances.

Analisi
It's the third time in the last five games that Markkanen has failed to score at least 20 points. The 28-year-old forward puts a productive November in the books, having averaged 25.9 points, 6.1 boards, 2.9 threes, 2.1 assists and 1.0 steals over 14 contests.

Analisi
This was the second game in a row that Markkanen failed to deliver any defensive statistics and his second straight game shooting under 40 percent from the field. He's gone 15-for-42 from the floor over this two-game stretch, and he could have a tough time snapping out of this funk Sunday with a difficult matchup against Houston.
