Sidelined through All-Star break
Kuminga will have his left knee injury re-evaluated by medical staff after the All-Star break, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.
Analisi
Kuminga has been sidelined since sustaining a left knee bone bruise against the Mavericks on Jan. 22 while playing for the Warriors. Kuminga and Buddy Hield were traded by Golden State to Atlanta in exchange for Kristaps Porzingis (Achilles) on Wednesday, but Kuminga will have to wait until after the All-Star break to make his Hawks debut. The earliest date he could return is against the 76ers on Thursday, Feb. 19.

Kuminga was traded to Atlanta on Wednesday but is still recovering from a left knee bone bruise and will have to wait to make his Hawks debut. His next opportunity to suit up will come Monday at Minnesota.

The Warriors traded Kuminga (knee), along with Buddy Hield, to the Hawks on Wednesday in exchange for Kristaps Porzingis, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Analisi
Kuminga and the Warriors' relationship had been frayed for a while, and the two sides will finally split. Kuminga has been sidelined since Jan 22 due to a bone bruise in his left knee. Still just 23 years old, Kuminga has plenty of untapped potential, and Atlanta could be the right spot to tap into that upside. The forward's likeliest path to playing time will come as Jalen Johnson's backup, though he'll have to compete with Mouhamed Gueye and Asa Newell for minutes at the power forward spot. It's unlikely Kuminga will be available in time for Thursday's game against Utah, which would make his next chance to play Saturday against the Hornets.
