Ward went 3-for-5 with a run scored in Friday's 3-1 win over the Nationals.

Hitting leadoff against left-hander Andrew Alvarez, Ward set the table effectively with three singles. The veteran outfielder has found a groove in June, banging out multiple hits in four of the last five games and producing a .295/.380/.421 slash line over 23 games this month with three homers, five RBI and 17 runs.

This was Ward's first game back in Anaheim after he was traded to Baltimore last November. He's posted consecutive multi-hit efforts, each including a long ball, after going 12 contests without homering. The outfielder is batting .284 (23-for-81) in June and is up to .258 on the year with a .759 OPS, five homers, 22 RBI, 51 runs scored, 17 doubles and two stolen bases over 79 contests as the Orioles' primary leadoff hitter.

Ward went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a walk and two additional runs scored during the Orioles' 12-1 win over the Dodgers on Sunday.
Analisi
Ward connected on his second homer of the month and only his fourth extra-base hit since the beginning of June. The 32-year-old outfielder has been a fixture near the top of Baltimore's batting order all season, appearing in all but one of the club's first 79 games, but he's really struggling for power during his debut year with the Orioles. Through 358 plate appearances, Ward is slashing .255/.393/.355 with four big flies, 17 doubles, 21 RBI and 49 runs scored.
