Clubs homer in win
Laureano went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and a second run scored in Wednesday's 7-1 win over the Giants.
Analisi
Laureano gave the Padres some breathing room with his eighth-inning blast. This was his second multi-hit effort in five contests this season, and he's added two home runs, four RBI, three runs scored and a stolen base while batting .389 so far. Laureano was given a full day off Tuesday and started at designated hitter for the first time this season Wednesday. While he may not play the field all the time, he should be in the lineup most days, especially if he continues to hit well.

Heading to bench Tuesday
Laureano is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Giants, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.
Analisi
After starting the first four games of the season and going 5-for-14 with a double, a homer and a stolen base, Laureano will receive a day off Tuesday. Nick Castellanos will take over in left field while Miguel Andujar receives a start at designated hitter.

Goes deep on Opening Day
Laureano went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's loss to Detroit.
Analisi
The Padres couldn't get much going against Tarik Skubal and three other Tigers pitchers, but Laureano did connect on a 423-foot solo shot off reliever Drew Anderson in the seventh inning. That ensured the veteran outfielder had a promising beginning to the campaign after he tied a career-high mark with 24 long balls last season. Laureano should have a near-everyday role in left field and could be a productive fantasy asset this season if he's able to build upon his strong 2025 showing.
