Suffers fourth loss
Gore (2-4) took the loss Sunday against St. Louis, allowing four runs on five hits and three walks over 6.2 innings with seven strikeouts.
Analisi
The Washington southpaw showed no ill effects of the ankle injury he suffered during his last start May 4 in this 101-pitch performance. Gore generated 13 whiffs and was in line for a quality start before allowing two runs (one scoring on a single conceded by reliever Andrew Chafin) in the seventh as he tired. Through 52.2 innings, Gore has pitched to a 3.59 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 75:16 K:BB. He is currently slated to make his next start against the Orioles in Baltimore next weekend.

Good to go for Sunday's start
Gore (ankle) is listed as the Nationals' probable pitcher for Sunday's game against the Cardinals, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.
Analisi
Gore tweaked his ankle during his last start against the Reds, but he'll be ready to go Sunday on six days of rest. The left-hander has been stellar this season, collecting a 3.33 ERA and 68:13 K:BB over 46 innings covering eight starts.

Recovering from sore ankle
Nationals manager Dave Martinez said that Gore remains sore Monday after tweaking his ankle during Sunday's start in Cincinnati but is feeling a lot better, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.
Analisi
Gore slipped and fell on a wet mound during the fifth inning versus the Reds and hurt his ankle in the process. He finished that frame and likely would have been removed even if he was totally healthy, given that he needed 100 pitches to cover five frames. While Gore is a little banged up, it does not appear at this point he's in any danger of missing his next scheduled start Sunday against the Cardinals. It helps that he will have six days of rest between outings.
