India got the party started with a leadoff home run in the bottom of the first inning. It was his 14th homer of the season. He later walked and scored a second run in the same inning, as Cincinnati put a nine-spot on the board in the opening frame. India slumped coming out of the All-Star break, but he has a .902 OPS over the last 19 contests, including hits in all three September games (5-for-10, four walks, five runs).

India set up the extra inning with a solo blast in the fifth inning to tie the game at 4-4. The home run was his 13th of the season and fifth during the month of August. The second half hasn't been kind to India (.184/.282/.313), but the Reds need healthy bodies and will continue to trot him out there every day.

He also singled and scored in the Reds' three-run bottom of the ninth to complete the team's second comeback during the game. India's hit safely in four of the last five contests, but he's struggled since the All-Star break, posting a line of .187/.286/.302. Despite those struggles, India remains Cincinnati's leadoff batter.
