Belts grand slam to power rout
Bader went 2-for-4 with a grand slam in Saturday's 10-3 win over the White Sox.

The center fielder broke the game open when he took Jordan Leasure deep in the fifth inning. It was Bader's fifth homer of the season, and fourth in 10 games since being activated from the IL in mid-May after recovering from a hamstring strain. Over that stretch, he's batting .263 (10-for-38) with three doubles, six runs and 10 RBI.

Bader is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks, Justice delos Santos of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Bader will pick up some rest in the series finale after he went 5-for-22 with four extra-base hits (two home runs, two doubles), five RBI and four runs while starting in the Giants' last five games. Drew Gilbert will cover center field in place of Bader on Wednesday.

Bader's lone hit of the day was a big one, as he went the opposite way for a grand slam off Jose Suarez to punctuate an eight-run eighth inning for the Giants. The center fielder has struggled to a .531 OPS through 20 appearances in 2026, though he has shown off some power of late with three homers and a .571 slugging percentage over his past seven games. Bader will look to continue supplying power and find a more complete groove at the plate in order to maintain consistent playing time.
