Torres isn't in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cubs, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

After going 2-for-7 with two walks through the first two games of the series, Torres will move to the bench Wednesday as the Tigers look to ease him back to action following a month-long stay on the IL. Hao-Yu Lee will pick up a start at second base as a result and bat eighth.

Reinstated from IL
The Tigers reinstated Torres (oblique) from the 10-day injured list Monday.
Analisi
Torres needed a month-long stint on the IL due to a left oblique strain. He was cleared to embark on a rehab assignment during the All-Star break, and he's progressed enough in his recovery to return to the majors, meaning both Zach McKinstry and Hao-Yu Lee will see less time at the keystone. Catcher Eduardo Valencia was optioned to Triple-A Toledo in a corresponding move.
