Winn tormented the Padres' pitching staff during this week's four-game series, going 9-for-17 (.529) with three walks. His homer Thursday was his first since Aug. 17, giving him five long balls this month and 12 on the year. Winn was an effective table-setter Monday, scoring twice on hits by Alec Burleson as the Cardinals got three-hit efforts from the first two batters in the lineup.
