Expected to miss at least one month
Tigers manager A.J. Hinch said Wednesday that he expects Rogers (oblique) to be sidelined for at least a month, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.
Analyse
Hinch indicated that the timetable he provided was an approximation, but at the very least, it's not going to be a minimum-length stay on the 10-day injured list for the catcher. Dillon Dingler will be the Tigers' primary backstop while Rogers is on the shelf.

Oblique strain forces IL stint
The Tigers placed Rogers on the 10-day injured list Tuesday due to a left oblique strain, Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic reports.
Analyse
Rogers tweaked his oblique in the batting cage Tuesday and the team has opted to go ahead and place him on the IL. He will be eligible to return April 18, but it's too soon to know whether Rogers might be activated at that time. Thomas Nido was called up from Triple-A Toledo in a corresponding move and will serve as Detroit's No. 2 catcher while Dillon Dingler takes over as the team's primary backstop.
