Marshall notched 23 points (7-11 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 6-7 FT), five rebounds and one assist over 34 minutes off the bench during Wednesday's 113-111 loss to the Knicks.

With Anthony Davis (calf) still unavailable, Marshall played more than 30 minutes for only the third time this season and tied D'Angelo Russell for the team scoring lead. Marshall has run hot and cold of late, scoring in double digits in five of the last eight games (one start) while averaging 16.8 points, 6.1 boards, 2.3 assists, 1.5 threes and 1.3 steals and shooting 51.2 percent from the floor in 29.8 minutes a contest.

Drops 28 points in double OT loss
Marshall registered 28 points (8-19 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 9-10 FT), eight rebounds, two assists and one steal in 47 minutes during Friday's 133-127 double overtime loss to the Clippers.
Análisis
Marshall can be hit-or-miss, but he's been in a nice rhythm over the past five games, posting averages of 19.0 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.8 triples, 1.4 steals and just 0.8 turnovers per contest. His production will likely drop off a cliff once Anthony Davis (calf) gets back to the floor, but with AD hurt and Dereck Lively on a minutes cap, Marshall should continue to see a ton of opportunity with the Mavericks.

Starting Friday
Marshall is part of the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Clippers, Christian Clark of The Athletic reports.
Análisis
Marshall will draw the start due to the absences of P.J. Washington (shoulder) and Anthony Davis (calf). It'll be Marshall's first start of the campaign. In his last four games, the 27-year-old forward is averaging 16.8 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.5 steals across 26.8 minutes.
