Light minutes in season debut
Wagner (knee) registered eight points (3-7 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds and two assists across 10 minutes in Sunday's 128-118 win over the Pelicans.
Análisis
Wagner made his season debut Sunday, after he had been sidelined for the Magic's first 39 games of the campaign while completing his recovery from Jan. 8, 2025, surgery to repair a torn ACL in his left knee. Before he sustained the knee injury last season, Wagner had been regularly serving as the top backup to Wendell Carter, who missed Sunday's game due to a right hip strain. As a result, Goga Bitadze moved into the starting five Sunday, but it's unclear if the Magic will have room in the rotation for both Bitadze and Wagner once Carter is back to full health. Even if Wagner continues to maintain a regular role on the second unit, the Magic are likely to ramp him up slowly, given he's coming off the major knee injury.

Making season debut Sunday
Wagner (knee) will make his 2025-26 regular-season debut against the Pelicans on Sunday.
Análisis
Wagner was enjoying a career-best start to the 2024-25 regular season before tearing the ACL in his left knee in December 2024. He has progressed enough in his recovery to make his season debut Sunday, though he'll likely operate under a minutes restriction as he works his way into NBA-level shape. Goga Bitadze could revert to the Magic's No. 3 center once Wagner ramps up his minutes.

Won't play Friday
Wagner (knee) is out for Friday's game against the 76ers.
Análisis
The Magic had hoped Wagner would be able to make his season debut at some point this week, and his next chance to do so now arrives Sunday against the Pelicans. With the big man still recovering from ACL surgery, Goga Bitadze's minutes should remain solidified in the Orlando frontcourt.

Won't suit up Wednesday
Wagner (knee) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Nets.
Análisis
Wagner underwent surgery to repair a torn ACL in his left knee last January and has yet to make his 2025-26 debut. However, it was reported Friday that the big man is expected to return "within the next week," according to Philip Rossman-Reich of OrlandoMagicDaily.com. His next chance to play will come Friday against the 76ers.
