Análisis
Markkanen didn't deliver his most efficient performance, though he still finished as Utah's third-leading scorer. The star forward was active on the glass Tuesday and grabbed a game-high nine rebounds, a mark he has reached in three of his last six appearances. During that stretch, he has averaged 27.8 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.8 steals per game.

Markkanen ended with 30 points (8-18 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 10-10 FT), four rebounds, four assists and one steal over 38 minutes during Friday's 131-129 victory over the Pistons.
Análisis
Markkanen's production was essential in driving the upset against Detroit, as the two-man wrecking crew of Markkanen and Jusuf Nurkic was incredibly effective in the frontcourt. While Cade Cunningham finished with a solid total, the rest of the Pistons' starting lineup was stymied thanks to an excellent defensive effort, and Markkanen was the spearhead of that cause.
