Ruled out with back spasms
Porter will miss the remainder of Monday's game against the Wizards due to back spasms, Justin Garcia of Locked On Bucks reports. He registered 30 points (12-15 FG, 5-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds, five assists and three steals in 31 minutes before exiting.
Análisis
Porter will miss only the last few minutes of the fourth quarter after being shut down with back spasms in what was otherwise an excellent night for the 25-year-old. He can be considered day-to-day moving forward.

Scores 13 points in return
Porter (knee) amassed 13 points (4-10 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, six assists, one block and one steal in 25 minutes during Saturday's 116-99 victory over the Nets.
Análisis
Porter was limited to 25 minutes in his first game since Opening Night. There was some understandable rust, but overall, Porter notched a solid line and did a good job filling out the stat sheet. Porter could very well remain in a starting role for the Bucks as long as he stays healthy, and once he gets on the same page with Ryan Rollins and Giannis Antetokounmpo, he should see an uptick in his overall numbers in a more consistent way.

Porter has been out since he sprained his ankle in the first game of the season and later underwent meniscus surgery in early November, but there's optimism he could return Saturday. If he's cleared, he'll presumably be on a minutes restriction for at least a few games. After that, coach Doc Rivers will have to figure out the rotation considering how well Ryan Rollins has played with Porter on the shelf.

Summoned from G League
The Bucks recalled Porter from the team's G League affiliate Wednesday.
Análisis
With the Bucks in Miami for a game against the Heat on Wednesday night, Porter stuck around in Wisconsin and got some work in with Milwaukee's G League affiliate. The point guard has been recovering from a torn meniscus in his right knee, an injury he sustained while rehabbing from an ankle injury. He's closing in on making his return, and it's possible he joins the Bucks in New York on Friday to face the Knicks. Given the lengthy layoff, Porter could be limited at first, which may include coming off the bench. Ryan Rollins has starred since taking over the starting point guard position.

Porter was assigned to the G League's Wisconsin Herd as he continues his rehab for a torn meniscus in his right knee, Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints.com reports.
Análisis
Porter left the season opener early due to the injury and has yet to play since, but he's expected to return soon. Ryan Rollins, who has filled in for Porter as the team's starting point guard, is averaging 18.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 1.6 steals, 0.3 blocks and 2.3 threes on a 42.0 percent clip across 31.5 minutes this season but may see his usage decrease and could eventually cede the starting role once Porter is fully acclimated to game speed.
