Doyle (oblique) was placed on the 10-day injured list Thursday, retroactive to May 20.

Doyle was set to miss a second straight contest Thursday, but he's now headed to the IL while nursing a left oblique contusion that he suffered in Tuesday's 10-0 loss to Texas. The outfielder will be eligible to return to action May 30. In the meantime, Mickey Moniak could enter the lineup against southpaws, while Jake McCarthy handles the lion's share of the workload in center field.

The Rockies announced that Doyle is considered day-to-day after suffering a left oblique contusion during Tuesday's 10-0 loss to the Rangers, Manny Randhawa of MLB.com reports.
Análisis
Doyle isn't expected to play in Wednesday's series finale while he continues to be monitored, but the Rockies haven't decided on his availability for their upcoming seven-game road trip. The 28-year-old has posted a career-worst .549 OPS so far this season and appears to have moved into a short-side platoon role in center field in recent weeks.

Rockies manager Warren Schaeffer said that Doyle was removed from Tuesday's 10-0 loss to the Rangers prior to the start of the second inning due to a left side contusion, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.

Doyle didn't record an at-bat before exiting the game shortly after he was shaken up while attempting to make a diving catch in the top of the first inning. Schaeffer said that Doyle will be re-evaluated early Wednesday before the Rockies determine his status for the series finale.

Análisis
Doyle seemed to be a little shaken up after landing awkwardly on his left side/shoulder while attempting to make a diving catch in the first inning, and he was replaced on defense at the start of the second frame. The severity of his injury is unclear, but if he's forced to miss additional games, Tyler Freeman could potentially receive more reps in the outfield.

Doyle went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored Saturday against the Diamondbacks.

Doyle drew the start with lefty Eduardo Rodriguez on the mound and hit second in the lineup. He reached base on a double in the first inning and came around to score, and he followed that up with a single and an additional run scored in the eighth frame. Doyle remains in a small-side platoon, as he's started only one of Colorado's nine games against right-handed pitching since the start of May.
