Knocks homer in loss
Drury went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional RBI in Friday's 9-5 loss to the Mariners.
Análisis
Drury has homered twice over his last four contests after a 62-game power drought. He's still not hitting particularly well, going 3-for-26 (.115) over his last eight games. For the season, the infielder is at a .159/.243/.218 slash line with three homers, 13 RBI, 25 runs scored and six doubles over 284 plate appearances. Most of his lost playing time has been due to injuries, but the Angels could reduce his workload over the final month if they want to get a look at an infield prospect or evaluate other members of their current major-league roster.

Heading to bench Thursday
Drury is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Tigers, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Análisis
Drury will get a breather for the day game after a night game, opening up the keystone for Michael Stefanic in the series finale in Detroit. After another hitless effort in Wednesday's 3-2 loss, Drury is now slashing an abysmal .153/.239/.202 over 280 plate appearances. Given Drury's season-long struggles along with the fact that he's scheduled to become a free agent this offseason, the Angels could look to push him into more of a part-time role in September.

Ends power drought in loss
Drury went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's 8-2 loss to the Blue Jays.
Análisis
Drury ended a power drought dating back to April with his eighth-inning homer, though it had little impact on the result. He missed time with a hamstring injury and an illness, but he hit just .144 and slugged a pitiful .170 over 62 games from April 15 to Aug. 24. While he's maintained regular playing time when healthy, Drury is in the midst of his worst season since 2020, slashing .157/.242/.207 with two homers, 11 RBI, 24 runs scored, six doubles and no stolen bases over 273 plate appearances this year.
