Steps up in win
Hachimura amassed 21 points (7-11 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT), four rebounds, two blocks and one steal over 34 minutes during Saturday's 132-122 victory over the Kings.
Analysis
The Lakers needed some of their role players to step up due to the absence of LeBron James (illness), and Hachimura, who himself was questionable due to his own illness, answered the call by delivering his third game with at least 20 points this season. The six-year veteran endured a rough stretch in mid-December but has been turning things around and has scored in double digits in four of his last five outings. He's averaging 13.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.3 steals per game since the beginning of the current month (12 appearances).

Will play against Sacramento
Hachimura (illness) is available for Saturday's game against the Kings, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Analysis
Hachimura has been under the weather but feels good enough to play Saturday. He should see a larger role on the offensive side of the floor due to LeBron James (illness) being sidelined. Since and including Dec. 1, Hachimura has averaged 12.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.4 steals over 35.9 minutes per game.

Deemed questionable for Saturday
Hachimura is listed as questionable for Saturday's game versus the Kings due to an illness, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reports.
Analysis
Hachimura is in danger of missing his first game since Nov. 21 due to an illness. If Hachimura is downgraded to out, Dalton Knecht and Cam Reddish are candidates to receive increased playing time.

Season-best effort from long range
Hachimura ended with 18 points (6-12 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds, one assist and one block over 39 minutes during Wednesday's 115-113 victory over the Warriors.
Analysis
The five threes were a season high for Hachimura. As a result, the 26-year-old forward scored more than 10 points for the first time since Dec. 8. He remains a secondary option in the Lakers' offense. Through 11 games in December, Hachimura is averaging 12.4 points, 5.6 boards, 1.6 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.4 threes while shooting 52.6 percent from the floor.
