Won't face OKC
Embiid is out for Sunday's game against the Thunder due to a right ankle sprain.
Analysis
Embiid registered 31 points (10-19 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 9-9 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one block across 32 minutes during Friday's 109-102 loss to the Bulls. However, the big man won't suit up to face the reigning NBA champions on Sunday, as the 76ers will once again be depleted in the frontcourt. The absence of Embiid means Andre Drummond and Adem Bona will likely handle most of the minutes at center, with Dominick Barlow also seeing sizable playing time.

Puts up 31 points Friday
Embiid registered 31 points (10-19 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 9-9 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one block across 32 minutes during Friday's 109-102 loss to the Bulls.
Analysis
Embiid has scored at least 27 points in three of his last four games, but he posted subpar numbers in other categories. The five-rebound haul was his third-worst output of the season in that regard, and he didn't stand out in what should've been a favorable matchup. Embiid has reached the 30-point mark just twice all season long, and between the injuries and the lack of production, he's no longer an automatic source of elite fantasy production.

Will play Friday
Embiid (knee) is available for Friday's game against the Bulls.
Analysis
Embiid will shed his questionable tag due to right knee injury management and suit up in his second consecutive contest. Over five appearances in December, the star big man has averaged 23.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.2 blocks in 29.6 minutes per game. He has shot 41.1 percent from the field and 17.4 percent from downtown during that span.

Questionable for Friday
Joel Embiid is questionable for Friday's game against the Bulls due to right knee injury management, Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice.com reports.
Analysis
Embiid is coming off a strong performance against the Nets on Dec. 23 but may sit out to give his knee a rest. If he's sidelined, more minutes would be in store for Andre Drummond and Adem Bona.

Team-high 27 points in return
Embiid chipped in 27 points (8-13 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 10-12 FT), six rebounds, four assists and two blocks across 31 minutes during Tuesday's 114-106 loss to the Nets.
Analysis
Embiid was cleared to return Tuesday from a two-game absence while working through an illness and a knee injury. He came out firing with 19 points in the first half, and while he briefly left for the locker room after appearing to aggravate a knee injury in the third quarter, he was cleared to return in the same frame. Embiid has played in five of the 76ers' nine games since Dec. 2, and over that span, he has averaged 23.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.2 blocks over 29.6 minutes per game. The 76ers' next game takes place Friday against the Bulls, which gives Embiid more time to rest and recover ahead of that contest.

Returns Tuesday
Embiid (knee) returned to Tuesday's game against the Nets with 6:49 remaining in the third quarter, per the broadcast.
Analysis
Embiid sustained an apparent right knee injury earlier in the quarter and briefly exited to the locker room. However, he returned to the bench shortly thereafter with wrapping on both knees, and it's a positive sign he was able to check back in after a short stint on the sidelines. He appears to be good to go for the remainder of the contest.

Exits to locker room
Embiid exited to the locker room after sustaining an apparent right knee injury in the third quarter of Tuesday's game against the Nets, Ky Carlin of USA Today reports.
Analysis
Embiid hit the floor hard and grabbed at his right knee before eventually heading back to the locker room. If the star big man is unable to return, Andre Drummond and Adem Bona are candidates for increased playing time the rest of the way.

Will play Tuesday
Embiid (illness) is available for Tuesday's game against the Nets.
Analysis
As expected, Embiid will shake off his probable tag due to an illness and return from a two-game absence. The star big man has appeared in four games in December, during which he has averaged 22.3 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.8 combined steals-plus-blocks over 29.3 minutes per contest. He has shot just 37.7 percent from the field during that span.

Probable for Tuesday
Embiid (illness) is probable to play Tuesday versus the Nets.

Embiid missed the past two games due to an illness, but he was able to get through a full practice Monday and is on track to return for Tuesday's game. Expect Andre Drummond to return to the second unit with Embiid back in action Tuesday evening.

Goes through practice
Embiid (illness/knee) participated in practice Monday, Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice.com reports.
Analysis
Embiid was unable to play Saturday against the Mavericks, his second straight game on the shelf. However, coach Nick Nurse noted that he was feeling and moving around better at Monday's practice. More clarity on Embiid's status for Tuesday's game against the Nets will be known once the 76ers release their injury report.
