Shelled in Tuesday's loss

Agnos (0-3) took the loss in Tuesday's 6-5 loss to the Giants. He allowed four runs on one hit and three walks with no strikeouts over one-third of an inning.

Analysis

Agnos entered the ninth inning with a four-run lead but quickly ran into trouble, surrendering a solo homer to Casey Schmitt and then walking the bases loaded with one out. He was then replaced by Victor Vodnik, who allowed all three inherited runners to score. Agnos entered Tuesday with a 2.70 ERA and 1.05 WHIP, but those marks ballooned to 4.43 and 1.23, respectively, over 20.1 innings this season following the disastrous outing.

Takes second loss

Agnos (0-2) took the loss against the Mets on Friday after allowing two runs on two hits and one walk while striking out two in the ninth inning.

Analysis

Agnos was brought in for the ninth, tasked with keeping the game tied at 2-2. He started off nicely by striking out Starling Marte, but Agnos proceeded to let the next two batters on base before giving up a two-run double to Francisco Lindor (toe). It marked the first time this season that Agnos yielded more than one run in an appearance, and the 24-year-old right-hander is up to a 2.37 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 10:3 K:BB across 19 innings.

Off bereavement list

The Rockies reinstated Agnos (personal) from the bereavement list Friday.

Analysis

Agnos has rejoined the team ahead of its three-game homestand against the Mets after going on the bereavement list earlier this week. The closer has logged a 1.50 ERA and 0.83 WHIP in 18 innings this season.
