Drives in two Saturday
Turner went 2-for-3 with an RBI single, a run-scoring double, a walk and a run in a win over the Mets on Saturday.
Analysis
Turner had a significant hand in the Mariners' offensive output for the night, plating Randy Arozarena with his first-inning double before rapping a single to drive his teammate home again with the final run of the contest in the seventh. The multi-RBI effort was already Turner's third since joining Seattle at the trade deadline, and the multi-hit tally snapped him out of a 1-for-16 funk that had encompassed his previous five games.

Reaches twice in return from injury
Turner (hand) started at first base in Wednesday's loss to the Tigers and went 1-for-3 with a walk.
Analysis
The veteran infielder was able to avoid missing any games after getting plunked on his left hand in Tuesday's game. Turner snapped a brief 0-for-6 skid that had encompassed his previous two games with Wednesday's production, and he boasts a .362 average and .913 OPS across 15 post-All-Star-break contests, the last six which have come with the Mariners.

In Wednesday's lineup
Turner (hand) will start at first base and bat fourth Wednesday against the Tigers, Shannon Drayer of SeattleSports.com reports.
Analysis
Turner was pulled from Tuesday's contest after taking a pitch off his left hand, but his bruise won't keep him out of Wednesday's game. The 39-year-old veteran has been red-hot since the All-Star break, slashing .364/.407/.509 with two homers and eight RBI across 59 plate appearances.

Managing bruised hand
Turner was diagnosed with a left hand contusion after getting hit by a pitch during Tuesday's game against Detroit, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.
Analysis
Turner remained in the game to run the bases after he took a 95-mph sinker off his left hand in the seventh inning, but he was later pinch hit for by Cade Marlowe in the ninth frame. Precautionary X-rays came back clean after the game, and Turner is officially viewed as day-to-day heading into Wednesday's contest.
