Taking seat Monday
Duran is not in Monday's lineup against the Guardians, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.
Analysis
Duran sat out only two games in August, but he'll be out of the lineup against a lefty starter (Parker Messick) for the second straight matchup. Nate Eaton will step in for Duran as Boston's starting left fielder.

Legs out inside-the-park homer
Duran went 2-for-2 with a double, two walks and a three-run, inside-the-park home run in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Pirates.
Analysis
With two outs and runners on the corners, Duran lined a ball between the center and right fielders that made its way to the warning track, resulting in an inside-the-park homer. It was the 14th home run of the year for Duran, who now has at least one hit in each of his last four games after going just 3-for-26 (.115) in his previous seven contests.

Receiving series finale off
Duran is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Orioles, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.
Analysis
More often than not, the left-handed-hitting Duran is typically included in the lineup when the Red Sox face left-handed starters, but the 28-year-old will retreat to the bench for Thursday's day game while southpaw Cade Povich toes the rubber for Baltimore. With Duran sitting, Jhostynxon Garcia will step in as the Red Sox's starting left fielder and will bat ninth.

Atones for mistake
Duran went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Wednesday's 3-2 win over Baltimore.
Analysis
Duran (95 percent catch probability) and Ceddanne Rafaela (85 percent) were poised to be the goats after the two outfielders allowed a harmless fly ball drop between them in the seventh inning, which gave the Orioles a 2-1 lead. That's the kind of mistake that would have haunted a younger Duran, but two innings later, he led off the top of the ninth with a single and scored on a Rafaela home run. Duran's multi-hit effort was his first in 16 games as he attempts to break out of an August slump in which he's posted a .220/.343/.354 slash line.

Swats 13th homer in win
Duran went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and a walk in Monday's 4-3 win over Baltimore.
Analysis
The homer was Duran's first since Aug. 4 versus the Royals and his 13th of the season. The month of August has been a quiet one for the 28-year-old outfielder, who posted a potent 1.093 OPS through 23 games in July. Over his last 74 at-bats, Duran is hitting just .216 with five doubles, 13 RBI, 11 runs scored and three stolen bases.
