The time has come! The transition to our new gameplay is here. You can already submit your teams for the next GameWeek, set to kick off on Friday, March 29th, at 4 pm CET. In this blog post, we will quickly recap the main changes and share some of our latest news.

NEW GAMEPLAY REMINDER

You can also refer to our blog “Sorare Pro 2024: A Deep Dive Into Our Transition Phase” for all the details.

New Competition Structure

Our transition phase runs from now until August and is designed to ensure a smooth shift into the new gameplay. The transition phase allows us to iterate, make UX improvements, and act on community feedback to ensure a smooth full gameplay launch in August.

Here’s a reminder of what it looks like:

Our new competition structure features four main competitions:

  • Premier League
  • Champion
  • Challenger
  • Contender

These competitions are run in both In-Season and Classic Season formats across all card scarcities, representing a total of 32 different competitions! With multi-entry, you can submit up to three teams in each of these competitions.

Don’t forget to check out the prize pools and the exciting rewards on offer. Dominate the leaderboard, and you will be rewarded with top-end cash prizes and/or Star player cards. Even if you don’t secure the top spots in a Game Week, the introduction of Reward Boxes in the Classic competitions ensures that every Game Week is exciting with a significant percentage of Managers opening rewards.

The Division Structure

The new division structure is also live for the Premier League, Champion, Challenger, and Contender competitions both in In-season and Classic season formats. Managers now have a clearly defined path for progression. Climbing the ladder will unlock access to better rewards, and of course, Manager prestige.

How do I find out what divisions my teams are in?

When you open a competition, you will see that your first two team slots for that specific competition have already been created. You can also choose to ‘add a team’ to create your third and final team slot for the competition. The division in which each team will compete is indicated by the badge next to it, as shown below.

We remind you that your first team has been placed in a Division based on your gallery strength for the specific competition. In this case, gallery strength is determined by the quality of the cards you own that are eligible for the competition: a Premier League Star card contributes more to your Premier League gallery strength than a Premier League Tier 3 card. Those “gallery scores” have been locked on Monday, March 25th at 5 pm.

Your second team will compete in the Division directly below your first. if you submit a third team, it will compete in the lowest existing Division.

Legacy Competitions:

As we previously announced, some competitions have been phased out while the main legacy competitions –  Global All-Star, Cap 220, Cap 240, and Cap 270 – will remain until August. Remember that next season, these competitions will return as Special Weekly formats on a regular basis.

U23 Competition

To continue celebrating the scouting of the next big football talents, U23 will remain as a core Classic competition even after the transition is completed in August. By then, it will also feature Divisions and multi-entry.

New Common Card Formats

As described in our latest blog post – Sorare Pro 2024: A Deep Dive Into Our Transition Phase” – we are introducing Basic and Advanced tutorials for each of the In-Season competitions. These tutorials will provide a comprehensive guide to help new Managers learn and progress as they develop their managerial skills. Once the Manager wins all possible rewards in the Tutorial of a specific competition, then the Tutorial is completed and the Manager is ready for their next move up the Sorare Pro competitions.

However, in contrast to our previous announcement, these tutorials will not be available to Managers who have previously ever submitted a lineup with five Pro cards. The primary objective of these tutorials is to ensure a smooth onboarding for new Managers, assisting them in discovering and understanding Sorare Pro. By restricting access, they will compete against Managers from the same level, giving them better chances to win their first reward and progress in the game.

Special Weeklies:

The MLS Special Weekly will run for two more GWs. Remember that the prize pools for this Special Weekly increase gradually with each game week. Don’t forget to prepare your teams for a chance to win amazing cash prizes!

As we previously announced, K League and J League Special Weeklies with $100K in total cash prizes each are also on the way. You can expect the detailed prize pools very soon.

Special Weekly competition “Continental Nights”

The introduction of our new gameplay means Special Weekly competitions now play a bigger role in delivering fun and innovative game formats, adding variety to the gameplay, and creating additional opportunities to win exciting prizes, especially for midweek Game Weeks.

During the next midweek from April 2nd to 5th, all core competitions will be open according to our rules. As a result, our next Special Weekly competition will take place during the following midweek and will celebrate the continental European and American competitions in style!

OUR NEW COMPETITION LOBBY BETA

We’ve revamped our Pro Lobby interface to be more intuitive and easy to navigate. It is designed to cater to both experienced and new Managers, clearly showcasing new gameplay elements such as multi-entry, In-Season vs Classic Season formats, and Divisions.

The current Pro Lobby interface is a “Beta” and undergoing development and improvements with your feedback. You can expect regular updates over the coming weeks, especially ones to make the information most important to you when setting and following lineups as easy to access as possible, and improved filtering options.

We’ll be closely monitoring your feedback and with iterations to improve your experience.

Please note that due to the transition to the new interface, the Game Week Rewards pool page is currently empty. The specific players eligible for prizes will be added back to this page in the next 24 hours

COINS AND CLUB SHOP

As part of the great strides to revamping our Sorare Pro gameplay and competition structure, we have made rebalancing adjustments to the amount of coins available in the prize pools.

This adjustment aims to streamline our rewards distribution as we start rethinking our plans for the Club Shop and Coin use cases.

Remember that you will now have the opportunity to win valuable Level Up boost items directly from the Reward Boxes, which you can win in abundance through the new Classic competitions!

We’ll continue to keep you updated on our progress in these areas.

REWARDS DISTRIBUTION

We acknowledge recent feedback regarding some instances where card rewards were outside our intended reward model. In response, we have implemented stricter rules to identify and address potential edge cases, ensuring that those players are appropriately removed from the reward pools when needed:

  • We have revised the ranking of DNPs within our prize structure once more to better reflect their appeal to our Managers.
  • We are progressively implementing more aggressive rules for identifying and flagging DNP players when there is inadequate data to precisely assign them to our reward tiers.

Our commitment to providing a rewarding experience for our Managers remains constant, and we will continue to iterate and monitor Community feedback to ensure that we uphold this commitment.”

Thank you for your support and valuable feedback! We hope you share our excitement for everything that lies ahead!
