Sorare 26 – Your Questions, Answered
Over the last 48 hours, we’ve been reviewing and digesting your feedback. Thank you for your passion and support. In this post, we address key questions from the community and share more context behind the decisions shaping Sorare 26.
Why We Didn’t Share the Full In-Season Structure (Yet)
We know many of you were expecting the full reveal of the In-Season (2025–26) competition structure in our first announcement. Here’s why that didn’t happen.
We’re currently in active discussions with several key partners. These partnerships will directly influence the number of league-specific competitions we choose to launch and in turn, shape the balance of regional tiers like Champion, Challenger, and Contender.
For Sorare 26 we’re focusing more on league specific competitions: These formats are the most played and most engaging. They’re also a win from a partnership, marketing and onboarding standpoint. Our league partners are happy that they get more spotlight, and this structure has helped onboard new Managers with the leagues they already follow.
That said, we don’t want to keep you waiting. We’re very excited to confirm at least six league-specific competitions for Sorare 26 with two new introductions — with the potential to add at least one more European league soon:
- 🦁Premier League
- 🇪🇸LALIGA
- 🇩🇪 Bundesliga
- 🇺🇸🇨🇦MLS (ongoing)
- 🇧🇪Jupiler Pro League (New)
- 🇳🇱Eredivisie (New)
Please note that not all of our league partners will have a league-specific competition, they will be part of the In-Season regional structure. Once our full partnership slate is finalized, we’ll share the complete structure for the 2025–26 In-Season competitions.
Thanks for your patience — and stay tuned.
New Classic Competition Structure
We understand why fans of the league-specific Classic competitions—Challenger and Contender—are disappointed to see them replaced in Sorare 26. These formats have been a big part of the experience for many Managers.
That said, these competitions are becoming more competitive with each new season, and with a fixed reward supply we can’t keep them engaging and sustainable in this model. Adding even more formats on top of the existing structure would have diluted rewards further, making it harder to win and enjoy. Essentially, increasingly higher scores with little to no reward.
There are fewer lineup slots in the new Classic structure—but that doesn’t mean fewer rewards. And it certainly doesn’t mean Classic cards are less useful across the game. In In-Season alone, we’re maintaining the Classic slot and it becomes more powerful with the classic slot eligibility for Hot Streaks across In-Season competitions. In Classic, we have more utility explained in more detail below.
With Sorare 26, the updated structure focused on Champion Europe, All-Star and U23 with up to 4 line-ups. This structure allows for more rewards per lineup. This makes the competitions more compelling, more rewarding, and ultimately, more fun. At the same time, by using a more global structure, we’ve ensured that clubs from the former Challenger and Contender competitions can still compete for top prizes in the prize pools, including access to top Champ Europe players.
Importantly, the Essence distributed in these leaderboards now fuels a new crafting system, giving Managers more control to pursue the players they really want. There is still a meaningful connection between your Classic and In-Season strategies and gameplay.
Beyond these competitions, Classic cards also play a key role in Sealing, the Championship, and the Arena—three features that we are confident will bring meaningful utility and excitement to your Classic experience.
The Arena that you have seen up until now in the product is just the test format. We’re already working on multiple variations with lower Essence requirements, league-specific formats, and a broader range of rewards—including Essence, cash, and Market Credits. If the resounding feedback is that Classic Managers want a League-specific experience in the Arena, we will make that available. We will also test special events like non-capped regional Arenas, etc.
While Arena and the Classic Competitions offer competition against other Managers, we will also have Daily Missions with Essence rewards that you can participate in with Classic cards. If you beat the game, you will be rewarded.
Sealing bonuses offer real value to collectors while keeping reward pools concentrated and engaging. The monthly Championship format is where we’ll offer our best VIP experiences and real-world rewards—and Classic cards will have the same utility here as In-Season ones.
The prize pools will naturally bring more clarity on the above, but we hope this addresses some of your initial questions.
Super Rare & Unique: What’s Next
First off, thank you for your feedback on the proposed changes to Super Rare and Unique competitions. We’re actively listening and we’re continuing to speak directly with Managers who focus on these competitions to gather more insights.
Why This Change?
The previous structure wasn’t delivering. Engagement levels were low, gameplay wasn’t exciting, and these competitions weren’t driving meaningful market activity. Simply put, they lacked the momentum to thrive in both Super Rare and Unique.
By merging Super Rare and Unique, we see a strong opportunity to reinvigorate both formats. This unified structure creates more exciting leaderboards through shared prize pools, while also establishing a clearer progression path from Super Rare to Unique. Managers will be able to win both Super Rare and Unique Essence in the same Game Week—making Unique cards more attainable and increasing interest in the scarcity. Additionally, the Unique Reward Boost will significantly amplify top cash prizes at the upper end of the leaderboard. But we understand that without full clarity on the Unique Reward Boosts, prize pools and a deeper breakdown of updates to the collection bonuses it’s hard to fully evaluate.
One point we want to clarify: Unique Reward Boosts can significantly amplify your rewards. We’ll share more details with you soon.
Why We Communicate in Phases
In a perfect world, we’d share the full picture upfront. But the reality is: partnership deals, gameplay updates, and prize pool decisions are all interconnected — and each moves at its own pace.
If we waited for all three to be finalized, we’d risk not giving you enough time to react, plan, or give feedback before the season begins. That’s why we’re sharing updates step-by-step. It’s the same approach we used last summer and it helped us shape a successful launch with community input.
What’s Next?
We know the blog didn’t answer every question. Here is a survey to collect your questions ahead of our next AMA in the coming weeks. It’s your chance to ask anything about this Gameplay Update and for us to go deeper on all these topics.
Thanks again for your support. Thank you for your passion!
