Randle and Jaden McDaniels exploded and provided 63 of the team's 115 points in a hotly-contested match that came down to the final seconds. Wednesday marked Randle's best scoring performance of the season, and he should continue to excel during Edwards' absence, which is expected to last a minimum of two weeks.

The veteran power forward has been hot out of the gate in 2025-26, shooting 56.5 percent from the floor and 42.9 percent from beyond the arc, both of which would be career highs. Randle is also supplying his usual production as a rebounder and distributor, and through four games, he's averaging 25.0 points, 6.8 boards, 5.0 assists, 2.3 threes and 1.3 steals.

Analyse
Randle was hot from the jump in this one, piling up 11 points in his first nine minutes of play, and he saw a nice uptick in usage with Anthony Edwards (hamstring) leaving the game early. If Edwards needs to miss Monday's game against the Nuggets, Randle could be headed for another big night for Minnesota.

Analyse
All of Randle's points came through the first three quarters of Friday's game, and he played just three minutes in the fourth frame before he and the rest of the Timberwolves' starters were pulled. Randle finished as the team's leading rebounder and second in points behind Anthony Edwards (31). Randle is off to an efficient start to the season, including 7-for-13 from beyond the arc.
