New Gameplay for Sorare MLB 2025
Daily Gameplay
MLB’s daily nature deserves daily gameplay. This season, we’re introducing daily competitions. You’ll have more ways to play, more often, making every day a chance to flex your lineup and win rewards
Beat The Game
In Sorare Football and NBA, we’ve introduced innovative ways to win without leaderboard rankings. We’re bringing that same fun to MLB in 2025, allowing Managers to win not at the expense of each other.
We’ll have more details closer to launch—but trust us, this will be fun.
In-Season Requirements + Multi-Entry
Competitions are getting a new look, now Managers will be able to enter multiple lineups in certain bi-weekly competitions, giving more flexibility and strategy.
Additionally, most of our competitions will now require 100% In-Season cards. However, with Energy (more below), Classic Cards still have a vital role to play in top-tier competitions.
Energy
One of the most exciting additions to the game this season is Energy, a new feature designed to give Classic Cards a temporary In-Season eligibility boost. This is a game-changer for Managers who have strategically scouted players in past seasons, especially those who identified talent before they reached their prime. Energy ensures Classic Cards can be competitive throughout their life-span.
Here’s how it works:
- Strategic Decision-Making – Every competition with In-Season card requirements will also require any Classic Cards used to be Energized, so you’ll need to plan carefully when and where to use it.
- Boosted Utility – Energy gives Classic Cards In-Season eligibility without the full In-Season scoring bonus. You can run lineups fully consisting of Energized Classic Cards.
- Energy is an earned item – You can earn Energy through a dedicated bi-weekly competition with no In-Season requirements, occasional marketplace promotions, and ongoing engagement.
Essence & Crafting
Essence & Crafting are making their debut in the 2025 MLB Season! Essence is an in-game item that you can use to craft Limited, Rare, Super Rare, and Unique cards.
When you craft a card using a specific scarcity of Essence, the resulting card will match the same scarcity level.
Sealing, Vaults, and Player Loyalty: A New Era for Collecting
One of the most frequent requests we heard in the offseason was: “Make collecting more meaningful.” With this in mind, we’re introducing Sealing, Vaults, and Player Loyalty—a set of mechanics that reward Managers for collecting.
- Sealing & Vaults – You can now Seal cards into your very own Vault, preventing them from being sold or played. Vaults are organized by rarity. Oh and don’t worry, cards can be Unsealed.
- Level up your Vault & Player Loyalty – As you Seal more cards, you’ll unlock perks, starting with reward multipliers in competitions.
- Perks for Dedicated Collectors – High Vault & Player Loyalty Levels unlock perks like competition reward multipliers of up to 1.5x. By Sealing cards, you can earn more cash, Essence, and Market Credits from gameplay!*
This system makes collecting more rewarding than ever. By holding onto cards, you’re not just preserving your bond—you’re also earning benefits.
