NBA WNTR Set: The Guide
Sorare Set is our board-based game mode focusing on three pillars. Collecting Set cards, building your roster, and pushing your streak as far as you can from Essence to Gems, all the way to the mega prize $1000 in cash.
This guide gives you everything you need to know, without the fluff.
How to Access the WNTR Set
You unlock the WNTR Set by owning WNTR Set cards. You can get them through:
- The Onboarding Pack
- The Daily Free Pack
- Packs bought with WNTR Essence or Gems
Once your onboarding pack is opened and your first cards are collected, the board opens.
Onboarding Board: Learn the Scoring
The onboarding board is designed to get you comfortable with Sorare scoring quickly.
- 3 simple levels each with a different score target
- Based on players’ previous performances (last match)
- Instant feedback on your picks
- Unlimited retries
Card requirements per level:
- Level 1: 1 card
- Level 2: 2 cards
- Level 3: 3 cards
Example for Level 1:
I need to pick a player from my roster who scored more than 20 points in its last match. Knowing that Anthony Edwards had a good game, I pick him. Indeed, he scored 45 points against the Los Angeles Lakers, the level is completed.
I move to level 2, where I’ll need to combine 2 players to hit 40 points.
It makes scoring understandable and removes early friction.
Missed the target? Switch players and try again until you nail it.
Streaks Board: The Real Challenge
Once you’re in, the real game begins.
Each streak level challenges you to pick players based on their potential future performances by submitting a lineup of 5 players.
How Streaks Work
- Each level has a score target
- You get 4 lives per level
- Each lineup costs 1 life
- Lineups lock when a player starts their match
You can submit lineups whenever you want and chain levels back-to-back as games are played.
If a lineup misses the target, you lose a life. If all lives are gone, you reset to level 1 with all lives restored. If one lineup hits the target, you advance immediately, again with all lives restored.
There’s no waiting, no weekly cutoff. Read the fixtures, move fast, and keep your streak alive.
With the right reads, you can climb multiple levels in a single day and push all the way to the top.
Rewards: What’s at Stake
Progression means better rewards, and you can run the board as many times as you want throughout the duration of the Set.
- Levels 1–2: WNTR Essence
- Levels 3–4: Gems
- Levels 5–6: Real cash
The final level rewards $1,000.
There’s no one-time finish line. Once a run ends, you can start again and push another streak.
With the right reads and momentum, hitting the top level isn’t a one-off, it’s something you can aim for again and again during the Set.
Cards & Player Categories
Players are split into categories based on performance and minutes played:
- DNP: Rarely plays
- Roster: Occasional minutes
- Key: Regular starters and good performer
- Star: High-performing Sorare players
- Icon: The elite top performers on Sorare
Stronger players mean safer streaks.
Packs: Build Your Squad
Every day starts with a moment that matters: opening a pack.
These packs offer players whose recent form and upcoming games could be the key to winning your next streak. Some designs are especially unique, making the moment of pulling them even more memorable.

- More packs available per league, with increasing potential:
- Bronze Pack (WNTR Essence)
- Silver Pack (Gems) – boosted odds to reveal a Star
- Gold Pack (Gems) – boosted odds to reveal an Icon
- Bronze Pack (WNTR Essence)
The higher the pack, the higher the ceiling.
Packs can be bought with WNTR Essence or Gems, both earned through gameplay.

Team Collections
Cards obtained from packs are automatically added to your collection, which is organized by the NBA teams available in the current Set.
A key benefit of increasing the number of players you own from a specific club is the resulting collection bonus, which enhances your players’ scores when used in a lineup.
For instance, owning 10 Los Angeles Lakers cards grants a 4% collection bonus. When a Lebron James player card is added to a lineup, their base score will be multiplied by 1.04.
These additional points are crucial for achieving the highest streaks on the leaderboard.

Alongside the board, you’ll find Daily Missions and Collection Missions.
