Each Early Access card carries a 10% probability of becoming a Special Edition.

Competition Structure
The MLB competition format has been redesigned to provide greater coherence across Sorare’s ecosystem while preserving the distinct characteristics of the MLB.
The result is a cleaner ecosystem built around two core pillars: direct competition and performance-based progression.
In-Season: Two Paths to Win

In-Season now features:
- PvP Leaderboards
- PvE: Hot Streaks
Leaderboards reward competitive ranking across each Game Week.
Hot Streaks reward individual performance against defined score targets.
This dual structure allows Managers to choose their path: compete directly against others, or focus on beating the game itself.

Leaderboards: Bigger Pools, Higher Ceilings
Leaderboards remain the competitive core of In-Season play — but in 2026, the reward structure scales significantly.
You can discover the full In-Season prize pools below. Across scarcities, they are more rewarding than last season, with stronger top-end payouts and improved overall reward allocation.

With a full In-Season Unique lineup, Managers can compete for over $10,000 in rewards in a single Game Week. At the highest level, performance now carries materially higher upside.
Launch Boost: Double Rewards to Start the Season
To celebrate the MLB 2026 launch, In-Season Leaderboard rewards in Limited and Rare will be doubled for the first five Game Weeks.
This temporary boost increases early-season upside and rewards Managers who position their rosters from Opening Day.

Reward choice

In selected cases, Managers may choose between alternative reward formats.
Examples include:
- Converting certain cash rewards into Essence
- Selecting upper-scarcity Essence alternatives
- Unique Essence options for Super Rare rewards
- In-Season Leaderboards
- Super Rare Hot Streaks
Reward configurations may vary between Game Weeks. The original reward remains guaranteed. The choice is yours.
This optionality is designed to better align rewards with each Manager’s progression strategy.
Hot Streaks: Performance Over Peaks
Baseball seasons are long. Consistency matters.
Hot Streaks formalize that philosophy inside Sorare MLB.
Each Game Week, at Limited, Rare, and Super Rare/Unique levels, you may submit up to three lineups to reach defined score thresholds.

Example structure:
If the base reward is 1000 Essence:
One lineup reaches target → 1000 Essence
Two lineups reach target → 1500 Essence
Three lineups reach target → 2000 Essence
Five progressive tiers raise both scoring requirements and reward potential as you advance.
And crucially: your streak does not reset if you skip a Game Week.
Energy
Ultimately, we believe that returning to a single Classic slot across all your In-Season lineups, combined with improved Classic Utility and competition rewards, will offer a simpler and fairer gameplay experience for all Managers, which is why we are removing the Energy mechanic from Sorare ’26 Gameplay.
Managers who accumulated Energy in preparation for the 2026 season will be compensated with Essence. This compensation will be distributed before Crafting opens, ensuring Managers can immediately redeploy their Essence within the new system.
Essence will be distributed according to the Energy scarcity you used. Compensation is calculated per scarcity, meaning you will only receive Essence in the rarities where Energy was actually spent during Sorare 25. If no Energy was used in a specific scarcity, no Essence will be allocated for that rarity.
In aggregate, Energy compensation represents about 2% of the entire season’s planned Essence supply for each scarcity. Because this allocation is front-loaded at launch before most seasonal emissions occur it forms a meaningful part of the initial circulating supply.
Conversion ratios differ by scarcity to reflect the structural differences in supply and reward scaling at each rarity. While the numerical ratios vary, the overall percentage of supply being redistributed remains consistent across scarcities.
Classic

Classic competitions receive expanded utility this season.
New lineup allowances:
- Limited/Rare: up to 4 lineups (vs. 2 before)
- Super Rare: 2 lineups (vs. 1 before)
- Unique: 2 lineups (vs. 1 before)
More entries. Broader utility. Stronger prize structures.

Arenas: From Side Mode to Core Pillar

After months of intense head-to-head battles, Arenas enter a new chapter. The mode now stands as a fully integrated pillar of Sorare MLB, supported by a dedicated entry system.
In 2026, we’ve significantly expanded the range of Arena formats to introduce more variety particularly for Classic cards and to create fresh strategic challenges each Game Week.
New Arena types include:
- SO5 (5-card format)
- National/American League-only competitions
- Hitters-only formats
- Arenas based on specific seasons
Each format reshapes roster construction and increases the relevance of different card profiles across your collection.
Each Arena room features 10 competing lineups, creating tight, small-field leaderboards with clear reward dynamics and direct competition.
And this is only the beginning.
We’ll continue listening closely to Manager feedback as the season unfolds and adjust Arena formats where it makes sense. Arenas are built to evolve thoughtfully, alongside the community.
Discover the new Arenas below

Prize pools are determined by the amount of Essence required to unlock each Arena. Discover the prize pools below:

Note: Green Essence rewards correspond to the scarcity of the competition entered.
Each Arena entry independently carries a 5% probability of entering a Golden Room with enhanced rewards.

Long-Term Strategy: The Sealing and Vault Evolution

Drawing on insights from our Football and NBA experiences, we are implementing a revised sealing structure for MLB, shifting the focus from card amounts to card tiers.
We recognize that managers adjusted their card sealing strategy based on the former system. Therefore, to align with the new model, we will unseal all previously sealed cards, allowing each manager to strategically seal their cards with the new system.
The unsealing of your cards and the ability to seal them with the new system will both occur on March 19, 2026.
How the New Vault Works
- Sealing cards generates Sealing Points based on card quality
- Higher-tier cards provide more points
- Total Sealing Points determine your Vault Level
- Vault Level determines your reward boost
The higher your Vault Level, the greater the boost applied to your rewards in both In-Season Leaderboard and the Classic permanent competition, including cash** and Essence.
Note: Sealing boost rewards don’t apply to Arenas, Special Events, or Hot Streaks.
Reminder:
The reward boost a lineup will benefit from is the boost % you have at the moment of lineup submission.
A sealed card still contributes to its team’s collection bonus.
You have one Vault per scarcity.
If you mix cards from different scarcities in your lineup, the applied boost will be the average Vault boost based on the number of cards from each scarcity. For example, if you play a lineup with 2 Limited cards and 3 Rare cards, and you have a 5% Limited Vault boost and a 10% Rare Vault boost, the reward boost for this lineup will be: (2×5% + 3×10%) / 5 = 8%.
Once sealed, your cards are locked: They can’t be sold, traded, or used in competitions.
You can unseal one card every 14 days per scarcity. Unsealing a card removes its contributed Sealing Points and adjusts your Vault Level accordingly.
Sealing a card that’s part of a lineup will cancel the lineup from an upcoming or live Game Week. Managers will receive a warning before confirming the sealing.
Vault Levels
Vault Levels range from 1 to 20, with reward boosts increasing from 1% to 20%.
Sealing Points
Sealing a card earns you Sealing Points, with 5 different amounts based on the card’s quality. You can earn: 1, 2, 5, 20, 50, or 200 Sealing Points.
Card quality level is dynamic and may evolve over time, meaning the Sealing Points you can earn from sealing a card can change.
Before sealing a card, you see how many Sealing Points it will earn you. Once a card is sealed, its Sealing Points contribution is locked and will not change. If you unseal a card, you will lose the same amount of Sealing Points that you earned when sealing it.
The new system simplifies the overall experience by introducing a single bonus structure. Consequently, the player loyalty bonus will be eliminated, as the card tiering itself will now serve to better reward higher-quality cards.
Vault Competitions & Missions
This season, we are enhancing the utility of Classic cards by integrating them into more Missions, providing dedicated Classic Slots, increasing the number of Classic lineups, and expanding Arenas.
Vault Missions will not be part of the Sorare ’26 season. We’ve made this decision because we view the primary role of vaulted cards as a source of bonus reward rather than a source of in-game utility.
Instead, we are enhancing the utility of Classic cards by integrating them into more Missions, providing dedicated Classic Slots, increasing the number of Classic lineups, and expanding Classic Arenas.
However, to honor the commitment of Managers who achieved high Vault levels, we will introduce a special competition with its own prize pool after a few Game Weeks, exclusively for Managers who have reached a predetermined Vault level.
Crafting and Daily Engagement: Broader Paths to Progression

Crafting in 2026 isn’t about increasing cost. It’s about increasing agency.
At 1000 Essence per draw (unchanged from last season) the structure remains familiar. What changes is who makes the final decision. Instead of being assigned a card at random, you now choose which card to reveal from your draw.
Strategy begins before the reveal.
How MLB Crafting Will Work
Each crafting draw requires 1000 Essence and presents 10 face-down cards:
- 75% Standard Draw
- 25% Special Draw with improved high-tier odds
Clues available at launch:
- Position
- Best 5
- Highest Tier
- Division
After selecting a card, you may return it for a partial Essence refund.
Crafting opens March 26, with full probability tables shared prior to launch.
Daily Game & Missions
Daily play expands in 2026.
Daily Swing, Daily Arena, and Missions are unified into a single Daily Missions mode not as a reduction, but as an expansion of opportunity.
Managers will now be able to activate approximately up to 15 players per day, across both In-Season and Classic inventories. With missions structured around player positions and a broader range of in-game actions, a significantly larger portion of your collection becomes relevant every day.
This evolution brings:
- Greater strategic flexibility
- Increased relevance for depth pieces
- A broader range of reward types (Essence, Credits, Clues, XP and more)
Unlike last season’s daily modes where top rewards were tied to limited ranking spots, Daily Missions allow multiple Managers to unlock top-tier rewards by meeting performance objectives. The ceiling is no longer restricted to a small number of leaderboard positions; it becomes more attainable through strong execution.
For example, on certain days you could win up to a craft in a single day by succeeding the Limited missions.
Tracked actions include metrics such as Innings Pitched, Walks, Strikeouts, Singles, and more.
The Daily Decisive Picker also allows Managers to earn XP by correctly selecting a player who records a Win or Save.
Daily engagement is no longer peripheral. It becomes a consistent progression layer that rewards smart rotation, deeper collections, and active decision-making.
Introducing Collect Missions

We’ve heard your feedback about wanting more ways to be rewarded for collecting on Sorare. That’s why we’re excited to bring Collect Missions to Limited, and Rare.
When the Marketplace opens you’ll be able to find collect Missions in the Collect tab of the Missions page. These missions unlock milestones and rewards tied to specific collection challenges, adding even more value to building and growing your collection.
Limited & Rare
- Collect cards from the 2025 Post Season teams
- Collect cards from the National league
- Collect cards from the American league
- Complete team collections
Super Rare & Unique
- Collect MLB cards
Please note that we will closely monitor activity to detect attempts to game Collect Missions (such as lending cards solely to complete challenges). Any such behavior may result in severe sanctions, including permanent bans.
Super Rare & Unique Merge
This season, Super Rare and Unique competitions will be combined for In-Season. The merge between these scarcities will be carefully monitored to ensure that gameplay stays competitive, balanced, and potentially even more rewarding for everyone at the highest levels.
🔹 Unique Collection Bonus Update
We’re slightly adjusting the Unique Collections matrix to accelerate bonuses earned at earlier milestones while maintaining the same 8% maximum.
This update improves competitive balance across card types and gives Managers quicker access to meaningful bonuses as they build out Collections.
Updates to Collections
Collections remain separate for Super Rare and Unique cards but are now more aligned:
- Collection point scoring and bonus milestones remain distinct but follow a unified structure for fairness, as both scarcities compete in the same lineups.
- The ownership bonus per card has been increased: Unique cards now grant 50 points (up from 10), while Super Rare cards grant 20 points (up from 10).
- Long-term ownership bonuses have doubled to +20 points after 30 days (was +10 after 90 days), speeding up collection bonus unlocking.

New Unique Collection Bonus Progression:
Milestone 1 → 1%
Milestone 2 → 4% (was 2%)
Milestone 3 → 5% (was 3%)
Milestone 4 → 7% (was 6%)
Milestone 5 → 8%
What it Means for Managers
The merge of Super Rare and Unique competitions is designed to deliver a richer, more balanced, and more rewarding gameplay experience for all Managers. By unifying these tiers, we’re unlocking greater opportunities for competition, reward, and strategy, including:

- In-Season Unique Cards deliver 60% more rewards than their Super Rare counterparts in In-Season Leaderboards every single Game Week. Even once a card moves into Classic, it still returns 15% more rewards for the rest of the player’s career. That difference compounds over time, particularly for star players used consistently.
- Smarter Progression: Choosing a Super Rare card over an In-Season Unique effectively halves earnings potential for that roster slot. Over a season, that’s a meaningful opportunity cost and why Uniques can be some of the most efficient ways to scale rewards to new heights.
- More Flexibility: Unique cards unlock an additional Classic slot in Super Rare / Unique competitions, giving Managers more ways to optimize roster composition and strategy.
- Faster Collection Growth: Unique cards help you climb Collection milestones faster, with up to an extra 2% scoring bonus vs. Super Rare, helping both in gameplay and driving market liquidity.
Note: These reward differentials apply specifically to In-Season Leaderboards and do not extend to Arena or Hot Streak competitions.
L15 to L10

What’s changing?
We’re switching from L15 to L10
The new L10 average will include only the last 10 matches in which the player actually played (unlike the current L15, which includes matches even when the player didn’t feature).
Aligned with the approach used in Football and NBA gameplay, this method better reflects a player’s performance level across their last 10 matches played. It also significantly reduces edge cases where players returning from long injuries end up with an L10 of 0.
Under this new rule, a player will have an L10 of 0 only if they haven’t played a match in more than 12 months.
Sorare Set & Common Game
As you may have noticed, we have introduced Sorare Set to Football and NBA with the objective to be our new Common expansion that is more engaging and rewarding for new users.
The Common mode and its Set expansion won’t be available at MLB launch as we are still in the iteration and learning phase.
Stay tuned for more updates.
