The New Arena Experience
The Arena competitions have been live for several months now, and we’re thrilled to see how much they’ve been played and enjoyed by Managers. They’ve brought exciting battles in small groups, more strategic depth, and more utility for your collections.
Building on this momentum, we’ve decided to take things even further. Arena is getting a full revamp, becoming a bigger mode with its own dedicated entry menu.
And the best part? It all goes live for next week’s Game Week with entry already open!
Here’s what you can expect:
More Arenas
We’re significantly expanding the number Arenas available in Limited and Rare.
You’ll now find:
- League-specific Arenas for all major Sorare leagues (MLS, Premier League, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, LALIGA EA SPORTS, Jupiler Pro League, Eredivisie, J.League and K League)
- Arenas for other important leagues covered on Sorare (powered by Opta), such as the Turkish, Italian, and Portuguese leagues
- A U23 Arena
- A Cap 220 Arena, a Cap 260 Arena, and a fully Uncapped Arena (also available in Super Rare!)
This gives Managers more variety, more strategic options, and more ways to use their collections and classic cards every week.
To avoid disrupting Managers who have already entered Arenas, any existing Arenas for upcoming Game Weeks will remain active and coexist with the new formats for those specific Game Weeks.
Please note that we’ve reduced the number of Arena types in Unique, as there weren’t enough lineups to consistently fill Arena rooms. We’ll continue to monitor the situation and may introduce additional Unique and Super Rare Special Arena events from time to time.
Prize pool
Most Arenas in Limited and Rare will now require 300 Essence to unlock, with prize pools adjusted accordingly. We’ll also continue to celebrate special football moments with boosted prize pools, often by increasing the odds of landing in a Golden Arena*.
Here is an example of prize pools for the new 300 Essence Arenas:

Golden:
1st 4000 Essence
2nd 1400 Essence
3rd 800 Essence

Please note that Essence won in Arenas is neutral, including in league-specific Arenas. It does not impact how your Essence is split across flavors.
Golden Arena Boost — Limited Time
To celebrate the Arena improvements, we’re doubling the odds of landing in a Golden Arena for four Game Weeks, from Game Week 48 (starting Tuesday, January 27th) through Game Week 51 (ending Friday, February 13th).
- Previously: 5%
- For the next four Game Weeks: 10%
Anytime Entry in Select Arenas
Some Arenas will offer anytime entry, meaning you can submit a lineup at any moment during the Game Week. This varies depending on the Arena format and scarcity to ensure rooms fill smoothly and remain competitive.

Please note: Arenas will follow the same opening rules as their corresponding standard competitions. For example, the European Champions Arena will open whenever the European Champions competition is open, and the same applies to league-specific Arenas such as the Premier League.
For Arenas not directly tied to an existing competition (such as Turkey or Italy), the Arena will open whenever at least 10 teams (licensed or not) are playing during the Game Week.
Please note that not all Arenas are live yet. Additional Arenas will be rolled out progressively over the coming days.

*As a reminder, Golden Arena odds are applied per Arena. A 5% chance means each Arena independently has a 5% probability of becoming Golden, not that 5% of Arenas overall will be Golden.
