Sorare 27 Gameplay Reveal
Managers, we were thrilled to see how much you loved Sorare 26 Football. The Hot Streaks, the podiums, the new crafting, the rewards. A season full of passion, competition, and celebration. “The best season ever,” many of you said
Wait until you see what’s next.
For Sorare 27, our mission is simple: double down on what you loved, and solve the frictions you faced. All of it to make Sorare 27 even better than Sorare 26.
The result: the most rewarding gameplay setup we’ve ever built, designed around how you choose to play, whatever your mode, whatever your scarcity. A sharper, cleaner experience, with smoother navigation, putting you in the best position to perform.
In this blog, we walk you through everything that’s new on the gameplay side, in full detail.
A note on what’s not fully covered yet. The full competition structure won’t be revealed in this announcement. We’re still finalizing conversations with a few potential new partners and the outcome could shape the overall structure. Rest assured: the leagues you played on Sorare 26 are largely back on Sorare 27.
On the prize pool side, you’ve got plenty to dig into already. The full breakdown for our top leagues is in this blog. The rest lands in a few weeks, alongside the final competition structure, since the two are tied, once we’ve locked in the surprises we have in store for you.
Sorare 27 is coming. Let’s break it down.
Sorare 27 — What’s New
3 Game Modes, Built for How You Play
On Sorare 27, we’re clarifying the gameplay by structuring it around 3 game modes, each with its own naming and identity. This also comes with a major navigation overhaul that solves the friction many of you flagged on Sorare 26, clearer UX, cleaner transitions between modes.
- Arcade: Sorare Set as you already know it. The casual game mode. The entry point where Managers discover the core Sorare mechanics (collection, scoring, lineup-building). A new Set every couple of months.
- Pro: Hot Streaks, improved. You play against Sorare, chase the targets, climb the levels, on the Hot Streaks boards all season long.
- Arena: The naming evolves. Arena no longer refers only to the room-based mode. It’s now the umbrella for all PvP / leaderboard gameplays: In-Season Arenas (In-Season leaderboards), Classic Arenas (SO7 competitions), and Arena Rooms (the 10-player rooms you know today as “Arenas” on Sorare26). Available across all scarcities.

One important constant. In-Season lineup rules stay the same as Sorare 26 for Pro and In-Season Arena modes: minimum 4 In-Season cards, maximum 1 Classic card in your lineups. The special In-Season Super Rare & Unique rule is also maintained: up to 2 Classic cards in your lineup. Eligible combinations: 2 Unique Classics, 1 Unique Classic + 1 Super Rare Classic, or 1 Super Rare Classic on its own.
Now let’s dig into what’s new on the Sorare 27 gameplay.
A quick note before we dive in: these changes do not affect MLS and K League competitions. Both leagues are mid-season, and we want to honour our commitment to stability for Managers who already built their strategies around them. During the transition, MLS and K League Hot Streaks and Arena competitions will both be accessible under the Arena 27 mode.
Pro Mode: Hot Streaks, Improved
Hot Streaks are a hit. You love them. So we’re making them better. Sharper rewards, faster gameplay, improved UI.
The interface gets a full overhaul. Climb the steps, chase the target, win big. Pro Mode in Sorare 27 is Sorare 26 Hot Streaks, improved. Below, you’ll see a few new rules tied to the introduction of anytime entry, but these aren’t new restrictions. They reflect how you already played on Sorare 26, only now with a faster gameplay: play faster, win several times the same weekend, and chase even better prize pools.
No Game Week start, no minimum-team requirement, the Hot Streaks boards are always open as long as a domestic league match featuring a licensed team is being played.

Anytime Entry
On Sorare 27, you can enter at any time on the Pro Hot Streak boards. Go as fast as you can. Win several times in the same weekend. No more waiting.
You enter or edit a team until the first player of your lineup starts their game. That means you can wait for the official lineups and play only with confirmed starters. And no more missed fixtures: the board is always open as soon as a league match is played. When you hit the target and bank the reward, you can continue to climb the streaks. The result: you can win much more often on Sorare 27 streaks than you ever did on Sorare 26, where you could only climb one step per weekend.
Pre-Set Lineups:
We know some Managers love watching the action unfold from the couch on a weekend, without needing to reconnect to Sorare every few hours. So we’re shipping the features to keep that experience as smooth as last season, landing shortly after the launch of Sorare 27:
- Pre-Set Lineups. On every Pro board, you will be able to pre-set lineups for upcoming steps. Clear the current step, and the next ones are automatically submitted with the lineup you drafted, provided no player in it has started their game yet. No action required from you. On Friday, set your Saturday lineup for step 1, pre-set your Sunday lineup for step 2, sit back. You’re covered.
- A robust notification system. Build your lineups ahead of time, and only step in when there’s something to act on: a DNP to handle, a reward to claim.
Step Clock
You still have 4 tries per step, 4 lives, 4 lineups. But there’s also a timing rule: once you start a step by submitting a lineup, you have until the end of that matchday to clear it. Otherwise, the step is failed.
A matchday is one round of matches across a given league (34 in the Bundesliga, 38 in LALIGA, and so on).
You can’t burn one life on a step and then wait for the following weekend to try again on the same step. It’s the same logic as Sorare 26 streaks: you’re free to skip a matchday and not play a step at all, but once you’ve started it with an active lineup, you have that matchday to clear it.
Two examples to make it concrete:
- I start a step on Friday with a Bundesliga lineup. I can submit up to 4 lineups across the matchday. If the last game of the matchday ends on Sunday and I haven’t hit the target, the step is failed.
- Bonus extra time when you clear early: you pass LALIGA step 2 with a Saturday lineup. you can move straight to step 3 by submitting a lineup with a Sunday game, and in this case, you have until the end of the following matchday (the next weekend) to clear that step 3.
Regarding postponed matches, the step clock flexes around them, extending when it can, dropping the match when it can’t. You’ll always have a clear window to complete your step.
Extra-generous scoring rules
We’re staying generous in how we handle data-provider scoring reviews. Here’s how it works:
- If you’re above the target at our first validation (a few minutes after the final whistle), the step is yours. You can claim the reward and move on. Even if a later score review pushes you below target, the step stays validated.
- If you’re below the target at first validation, the lineup is marked as failed, but it’s not necessarily over. You can choose to retry immediately with a new lineup, or leave the failed lineup in place: if a later score review pushes it above target, the step is validated automatically.
- Failed lineups stay reviewable until the end of the Game Week in which the last match is played. After that, all scores are final, and any failed lineup that didn’t recover above target is closed for good.
Exact rules for the first validation timing will be shared closer to launch. We’ll do our best to minimize the friction when matches kick off back-to-back, so validation lag doesn’t get in the way of starting the next step.
Rare Reward Bonus
On Pro mode, there’s only one board per league, and there, you can mix Limited and Rare cards as you wish.
The twist: playing with Rare cards gives you a reward bonus.
- 15% per In-Season Rare card aligned.
- 40% if your captain is an In-Season Rare card.
A full lineup of In-Season Rare cards earns you a 2X reward bonus on the base prize pool.
This is an additional layer of utility for Rare Managers who enjoy Hot Streaks, on top of the Rare Arena, which will be the heart of Rare gameplay, with incredible prize pools. More on that below.
Note: although Pro mode is designed around Limited and Rare cards, Super Rare and Unique cards are also eligible to play, and they benefit from the same reward bonus that applies to Rare cards.

A few other details
Lineup Bonuses (Cap 260, Multi-Club) will no longer exist in Pro Hot Streak mode. These bonuses are mainly designed to differentiate Managers in the PvP gameplay. Streaks with anytime entry are built around a different strategic logic. Lineup Bonuses stay in the Arena, where leveraging strategy to differentiate from other Managers is key. All other bonuses remain active: New Season, XP, Collection, and Captain.
Scarcity bonus don’t apply on the Pro boards.
Lineup Cancellation Rules:
On the Pro Mode Hot Streak boards:
- You can’t cancel an active lineup (one where at least one match has kicked off)
- A card is locked when it’s in an active lineup
- You can reuse a locked card for another match:
For example: your Dembélé card is locked in an active lineup for PSG vs. Nantes. You can’t remove him from that lineup, but you can still play his card in another lineup for PSG’s next match. - You can forfeit a step at any time and restart from step 1.
- When starting a new step, all cards are available again.
Pro Mode in Sorare 27 is Sorare 26 Hot Streaks, improved. Same core rules, same way to play. The mission: make Hot Streaks better, not mirror Set rules. So the Sorare 26 fundamentals rules carry over: scout specific players, clear a step within the matchday, and play each card only once per match across your lineups, with as little micro management as possible during matchdays. All of these were already valid on Sorare 26. What changes is the flexibility on top, starting with the ability to enter anytime, and win several times in the same weekend.
The Arena
Arena now regroups all PvP leaderboards: In-Season Arenas, Classic Arenas (with 7-player lineups), and Arena Rooms. The cadence you know stays the same, submit your lineups before Tuesday and Friday 4PM CET, collect your rewards on Tuesdays and Fridays evenings. Two exceptions: Arena Rooms keep anytime entry, and some Arenas may run with a later deadline in specific cases.
Arenas are available across all scarcities, with Super Rare and Unique still merged in In-Season Arenas, just like Sorare 26.

No More Divisions
Arenas will no longer have divisions. One concentrated leaderboard, one concentrated prize pool. A chance at the big rewards every Game Week, no more fear of relegation, no more the-best-score-of-the-year-but-in-Division-3 stories.
Sub Slots
Sorare 27 felt like the right time to address a major Manager frustration: DNP (did not play) players. We took our time on this one, analysis, research interviews, prototypes, to land on a solution that removes the pain point without forcing you to live on Sorare during your weekend.
Here’s how it works. When you create your lineup, you have two optional sub slots in both In-Season Arenas and Classic Arenas;
- One GK sub slot. Replaces your goalkeeper if they’re DNP.
- One outfield sub slot. Replaces any outfield player who’s DNP, provided the lineup remains position-valid (minimum one player at each position). If you pick an outfield sub whose position differs from your Extra, your two subs together can cover up to 4 of your 5 starters (or up to 6 out of 7 for SO7).

A few important rules:
- Subs happen automatically after a first player in the lineup is DNP. No action required from you.
- If a sub is triggered, Lineup Bonuses (multi-club and cap bonuses) are removed for that lineup.
- Only In-Season cards can be used as subs in In-Season Arenas.
- Sub-ins only trigger on DNPs. If a player is benched but enters the game, nothing happens.
- A card can be used as a sub in only one lineup at a time.
- If your captain is DNP, your sub becomes the new captain.
- In Super Rare and Unique Arenas, reward bonuses are recomputed when a sub steps in.
- Subs get the same XP as the starting 5, whether they’re subbed in or not.
No more late surprises ruining your weekend but strategy and skill still decide who comes out on top.
Other Details
- A card used in a Pro Hot Streak lineup is locked out of Arena for that same fixture. And the reverse holds: a card played in an Arena lineup can’t enter a Pro board lineup for any match happening that Game Week.
- Min 4 lineups per Arena, per scarcity (In-Season and Classic).
- Lineup Bonuses (Multi-Club, Cap 260 for In-Season, Cap 370 for Classic SO7) are live in both In-Season Arenas and Classic Arenas.
- Arena Rooms (use Essence to unlock, 10-player rooms): keep the same diversity across scarcities as in Sorare 26. No changes.
- Arena opening rules remain the same as last season.
Gameplay Breakdown by Scarcity
To sum it up, here’s how you play, depending on the scarcity you bring to the pitch.
- Limited. Chase the targets in Pro mode, or step into the Arena to battle other Managers. The strategy, the timing, the mix: it’s yours to choose.
- Rare. With less supply than Limited, fewer Managers, fewer lineups, Rare gameplay has a distinct rhythm. Across our analysis and our interviews with Rare Managers, we saw a strong appetite for Leaderboard gameplay. That’s why the Arena is the heart of Rare gameplay in Sorare 27, with unprecedented prize pools to match (more details below). That said, we know many Rare Managers also love the thrill of Hot Streaks. So your Rare cards are also fully playable in Pro mode, with a reward bonus that scales up to 2x with a 5-card In-Season Rare lineup. The boost kicks in from card one: 15% for each Rare card in the lineup, 40% if it’s your captain. The climb from Limited to Rare pays off the moment you start it.
- Super Rare & Unique. The home of prestige. Arena only. Exclusivity, sharpest stakes, the biggest reward on the platform.

Competition Structure
As mentioned in the introduction, the full competition structure won’t be revealed in this announcement. We’re still putting the finishing touches on conversations with a few potential new partners and we want to make sure their arrival is reflected in the final structure.
A quick reminder for context: last year, we had to wait until early July before locking the final competition structure, that was the moment our Ligue 1 partnership came together. These conversations naturally land when they land, and we’d rather wait a little to deliver the best possible structure, including some surprises…
Rest assured: the leagues you played on Sorare 26 are largely back on Sorare 27. We’ll share the final competition structure, what leagues are available, in which game mode, at which scarcity, as soon as the conversations close, in a few weeks.
For Classic, we can already confirm: the structure stays in line with last season. All-Star, Champion, U23 7-player lineups (+ 2 sub slots).
Prize Pools
A quick note before the numbers. This blog includes a strong portion of confirmed Sorare 27 prize pools, mainly for our top leagues, with enough to give you a clear feel for the structure and the ambition. You’ll find below the final prize pools for 6 leagues with league-specific competitions, in both Pro and Arena modes. The rest lands in a few weeks, alongside the final competition structure, since the two are tied.
Before we drop the numbers, a quick word on how they’re built.
Pro Hot Streak Boards
- 6 steps per board. With anytime entry, you can climb fast and rack up rewards.
- Cash* on 5 of the 6 steps. And the top steps pay bigger than last year.
- The new Kings’ extra step. Available only for our top 4 leagues 🏴🇪🇸🇩🇪🇫🇷. Clear step 6 and the streak is mastered. A spectacular performance, and a top reward to match, up to $2,000*. But for the Managers chasing more. Those who want to write their name into Sorare history, one extra challenge unlocks above the streak: a 550-point target, unlocking up to a $10,000* reward. This step is optional, reserved for those who dare. You can also restart your streak straight away after hitting step 6.
- Like on Sorare 26, an alternative reward in Essence (or XP) may be offered at each step and across Arenas. The ratios may evolve over the course of the season.
Sorare 27 Hot Streaks will be more rewarding than last year. And remember, the Rare bonus stacks up to 2X with a full In-Season Rare lineup.
Important news on point targets. Learning from Sorare 26, we’re adapting the point targets by league for the final steps to account for league diversity and difficulty. The result: a fairer, more consistent and more delightful experience across boards.
Here’s the Pro Mode Hot Streak prize pool breakdown, for the prize pools we can confirm already.

Arena Prize Pools
In-Season Arenas are where Managers fight each other for the top rewards every Game Week.
- Top cash prizes for the best Managers.
- Deep, valuable Essence rewards throughout the leaderboards
- Rare In-Season Arenas offer unprecedented podium rewards and a bigger portion of Managers receiving cash* rewards.
- Unique cards continue to unlock a major reward bonus, 80% per Unique In-Season card, 20% per Unique Classic card, letting you aim at up to $25K* per Game Week.
Here’s the Arena In-Season prize pool breakdown, for the prize pools we can confirm already.

Classic Arena Prize Pools
Classic Arenas reward Card and Essence, the precious resource that powers crafting and brings home brand-new In-Season cards.
A note on Unique:
After review and a number of conversations with our Unique Managers, we’ve decided to rework how Unique Classic prize pools are built.
The key changes:
- Unique Essence is being removed from the prize pools and from crafting.
- Going forward, Managers competing in Unique Classic can win cash*, market credits, and Super Rare Essence.
- This is made possible by a structural shift: the full supply of Unique cards will be sold on the market, with none directly distributed as rewards.
On the transition. The Unique Essence you already own will be converted into Super Rare Essence. We’ll share the exact conversion details, and the full transition timeline, ahead of the start of the new season.
Here’s the Classic Arena prize pool breakdown across every scarcity for Sorare 27.

More on Sorare 27
You now have the full picture on game modes, gameplay, and prize pools. Let’s dig into the rest.
Special Events
Sorare 27 will continue to deliver special events throughout the season, tied to the biggest football moments, special edition cards, fun challenges, and themed gameplay.
European Gameplay
Starting with European Game Weeks. Of course, we’ll offer a gameplay tailored for these moments, so your cards keep working hard mid-week.
As mentioned in our last communications, we’re working to make these moments even more enjoyable on Sorare. The full European Gameplay reveal will come closer to the start of the season.
Here’s what we can reveal already:
- There will be dedicated Hot Streak boards for these events.
- Super Rare & Unique will have leaderboards.
- Cash* and Essence rewards across every scarcity.
- You’ll be able to play with your In-Season cards.
- In Limited and Rare, we’re exploring additional mechanics to sustain stronger event prize pools, for example, boosted card with scoring bonus or item that unlocks scoring bonuses (optional, not required to enter the boards). More details soon.
More Special Events
Beyond Europe, expect more, special event Pro boards, themed Arenas, fun challenges, football moments worth celebrating. These events will also occasionally include cash* rewards. Picture a Cap 240 special board with its own rules. Stay tuned.
Collect Missions
Every league launched on Sorare 27 will have dedicated collect missions: collect X cards from a specific league or club, and win the associated rewards. The mechanic you’ve already enjoyed with MLS, K League, and J.League.
One important change: only first-owner cards (cards you win/craft or cards you buy from auction or Instant Buy) will count toward Collect Missions. This protects the system against abuse and lets us offer better rewards.
Crafting
As we announced back in December, your Sorare 26 Essence will transition to Sorare 27 Essence using a degressive formula. MLS, K League, and Global Cup In-Season Essence are not impacted by the transition. And your Global Cup Essence will turn to All Star Sorare 27 Essence.
- Conversion will happen after the global cup ends and before the start of the new season.
- Per-league craft availability: leagues become craftable on specific dates after their cards are released and after the league starts. Full timeline shared closer to Early Access.
Tiering
We tested a new tiering system at the end of Sorare 26, more transparent, performance-based, designed to reflect the cards utility. The test was conclusive, and we’re moving forward with this system.
The new system is now definitive for Sorare 27, with slight tweaks to draw distribution and special pull odds.
Crafting now relies on the following tiers for each league, similar to Sorare Set:
- ⭐ Reserve — 0 minutes played in the last 3 matches, OR less than 50 total minutes played in the last 10 matches.
- ⭐⭐ Roster — At least 50 total minutes played in the last 10 matches, and at least 1 appearance in the last 3 matches.
- ⭐⭐⭐ Key —
- Playing Time (Field players & Goalkeepers): At least 500 minutes in the last 10 matches, and at least 1 appearance in the last 3 matches. OR fast track: at least 60 minutes in at least 2 of the last 3 matches.
- Score: Field players — average score > 55 in the last 10 matches. Goalkeepers — average score > 50.
- ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Star — handpicked.
- ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Icon — handpicked.
Stars and Icons are not differentiated in Sorare Pro crafting odds. No dedicated odds, no separate special craft categories for Icons. The best odds and special pulls apply to the combined Star + Icon pool, equivalent to the current T0 pool. When you use the ‘Highest Tier’ Clue and your draw contains a Star or an Icon, the Clue will indicate a 4- or 5-star player, since the two tiers are merged here.
Crafting and Pull Updated Odds
We’re updating odds distribution to align with the new tiering and the data we’ve gathered over the first year of the new crafting system.
Special Draw Distribution
| Draw Type | Probability |
| Standard | 60% |
| Special Full Roster | 15% |
| Special Key | 10% |
| Special Star | 10% |
| Special Full Key | 5% |
Crafting Odds per Card Slot and Draw Type
| Draw Type | Star & Icon | Key | Roster | Reserve | Notes |
| Standard | 0.5% | 3.5% | 50.0% | 46.0% | — |
| Full Roster | 0.5% | 4.0% | 95.5% | 0.0% | — |
| Special Key | 1.0% | 4.0% | 50.0% | 45.0% | One guaranteed Key player |
| Special Star | 0.0% | 4.0% | 50.0% | 46.0% | One guaranteed Star or Icon player |
| Full Key | 1% | 99% | 0% | 0% | — |
The Full Roster special draw doesn’t double the Essence cost of using a Clue. And new for Sorare 27, the Special Key draw works the same way. All other special draws still apply the doubled cost.
Clue Update
The League Clue cost is changing for Sorare 27, in line with the Keep Best 5 Clue:
- 1,000 Essence in standard draws (and in the Full Roster and Special Key special draws).
- 2,000 Essence in the other special draws (Special Star and Full Key).
The first year of the new crafting system taught us that the League Clue is as powerful as the Keep Best 5 in shaping a draw, notably by letting Managers chase cards from leagues they don’t play. This adjustment allows us to keep the crafting experience exciting all season long by preserving the reward supply across the year.
This change allows us to keep the crafting experience exciting throughout the season by preserving the reward supply across the year.
Sealing
Introduced for Sorare 26, your Vault lets you seal cards to grow your Vault Level and earn a reward bonus on your Arena leaderboards. We’re satisfied with how the system landed, and with the extra utility it brings to Classic cards.
Also worth keeping in mind: with card rewards on Classic Arenas replaced by Essence, and even cash* in Unique, your Sealing bonus now applies to a larger reward pool in Classic.
As we move into a new season, we need to make sure Sealing stays sustainable. With more card supply landing every season, levels need to be rebalanced season after season to keep the reward boost sustainable.
For the Sorare 26 → Sorare 27 transition, here’s what it means:
- Limited: no rebalance this season. You start Sorare 27 at the same Vault level you ended Sorare 26 with. With part of the Limited Arena prize pool budget redirected into Limited Pro mode, keeping Vault levels untouched is a way to offset that shift.
- Rare, Super Rare, and Unique:

Real Life Prizes
Sorare is where you win incredible real-life prizes. That part isn’t going anywhere, but for Sorare 27 we’re rethinking how we deliver them. Rather than the permanent monthly Championship format we ran on Sorare 26, Sorare 27 will tie IRL prizes to dedicated special events. Jerseys, tickets, VIP experiences and more. Stay tuned!
See You on the Pitch
That’s Sorare 27. The new game modes. The new boards. The new Arena. The new leagues. One of the most rewarding experiences we’ve ever built.
A season designed around how you play. Whatever your mode, whatever your scarcity. Built on the obsession that’s defined the platform since day one: performance.
Thank you for the feedback, the wins, the threads, the watchparties, and the trust you’ve put in us. None of this happens without you. We can’t wait to see what you do with it.
The countdown is on.
See you on the pitch, Managers.
