Flash Sales and Boosted Early Access cards
Managers, as we gear up for the first Early Access cards and the start of an exciting new season, we’ve got market news to share:
- Flash Sales, a new Instant Buy special event: offering an improved market experience.
- Boosted Early Access drops: very limited-supply cards carrying a temporary scoring bonus on the Hot Streaks boards, dropping ahead of matchday 1.
Introducing Flash Sales
For next season, to account for the gameplay changes brought by anytime entry, we’re introducing special Instant Buy events for Limited cards: Flash Sales.
What are Flash Sales?
Flash Sales are a new Instant Buy event, mainly happening during weekends, improving on Instant Buy as you know it today.
You may have experienced something similar with Quickplay: with today’s Instant Buy, prices can spike sharply when demand is concentrated, something that will now happen more on weekends with anytime entry, as Managers scout official lineups and jump in at the same time.
Flash sale events address that by offering a fixed price on a set number of cards for a given player. Only once that quantity sells out does a new batch become available, at an increased price. For example, you could have 5 Olise cards at a given price, and only once they sell out, a new batch of Olise cards becomes available at a higher price. Ahead of Olise’s next match, you can confidently buy his card in Flash Sale, knowing you’re getting the best price available for him on the primary market before that match. The price won’t drop lower in the meantime.

What the marketplace will look like:
This new Instant Buy format, Flash Sales, will mainly run close to matches and during weekends, especially for probable starters and Star & Icon players.
Regular Instant Buy, as you know it today, remains available the rest of the time.
Auctions will keep running during the week. After matchday 1, though, Stars & Icons will be auctioned far less often than last season, matching better the demand, giving you better visibility on their price, and making their cards available right when you need them.
Unique
The changes above mainly concern Limited cards. There’s also a small change coming to Unique auctions: for Star and Icon players, the starting price will be adjusted to a new minimum, one that’s more sustainable for our economy.
Boosted Early Access Cards
To celebrate the new season, the Early Access launch, and the Hot Streaks launch promo, we’re introducing something new: Boosted Early Access.
Here’s how it works:
- Ahead of the first matchday of a league, a limited-time drop goes live on the marketplace for a few hours only: each player in that league will have a handful of boosted Early Access cards available, in very short supply.
- These cards carry a temporary scoring bonus on Pro Mode (Hot Streaks) only.
- The scoring bonus depends on the card tier:
- Reserve, Roster, and Key Players cards: +10% scoring bonus.
- Star and Icon cards: +5% scoring bonus.
- The bonus lasts for the first 4 matchdays of the league, matching the Hot Streaks launch promo. For Contender cards, the bonus isn’t tied to individual matchdays, it runs globally across the first 4 Contender weekends, from July 31st to August 24th, regardless of when each league launches.
- Cards will drop in very short supply. During those drops, the maximum supply per player will be:
- Limited: up to 5 Boosted Early Access cards for Star and Icon players, and up to 20 for Reserve, Roster, and Key players.
- Rare: only 1 Boosted Early Access card for Star and Icon players, and up to 3 for Reserve, Roster and Key players.
- Boosted Early Access cards are sold at a fixed price with a premium.
- These cards will also carry a special design tweak on their definitive card, revealed at the reveal ceremony. For leagues whose first 4 matchdays fall after the reveal ceremony, the revealed card keeps its scoring bonus until the end of the 4th matchday. The scoring bonus also remains valid if a card is sold to another Manager.
The Scottish Premiership will be the first league to get a Boosted Early Access drop, ahead of its first matchday. More details on timing soon.
Make sure your teams are ready for the launch promo, now’s the time to start planning your strategy!
